Went for restaurant week last weekend… the food was definitely worth the price (not often you see restaurants offering steak without extra fee during RW and wagyu steak at that!) we loved having all of the little bites ahead of the meal. We added a few extras as well like the Philly cheesesteak (interesting take on the staple but a little too “airy”) caviar cone and side of carrots. The RW week menu was definitely worth the $60. We also ordered the French onion soup as a recommendation from the server, it was interesting but literally 2 sips for $12 would pass next time. Server didn’t even mention RW menu or offer it, which we thought was odd. We had to physically ask for it.

The 5 stars definitely comes from the service of the host stand. The Greek manager went above and beyond to celebrate our friends birthday. He made our night so special! He was the best

We had an absolutely unforgettable experience at Bazaar Meats on New Year’s Eve. From the moment we arrived, the service was truly outstanding. Our server, Rusian K, was exceptional—knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely warm. He guided us through the menu with great insight, made thoughtful recommendations, and ensured every detail of our meal was perfect without ever feeling intrusive. His interactions made the evening feel special and effortless.

Manager Mark also deserves high praise. He was welcoming, present, and clearly invested in creating an exceptional guest experience. It was evident that the entire team was well-led and deeply committed to hospitality.

The food, as expected, was phenomenal—beautifully prepared, bold in flavor, and memorable from start to finish. Every course felt intentional and indulgent, making it the perfect place to celebrate such a special night.

We were seated in a wonderful booth with a great view of the windows, which allowed us to watch the Chicago fireworks as we rang in the New Year. It added a magical touch to an already incredible evening. Between the outstanding service, unforgettable food, and perfect setting, this New Year’s Eve at Bazaar Meats is one we will remember for a long time. Highly recommend.

P.s. Get the wagyu!

Happy to have made a reservation to Bazaar Meats in Chicago. Let me start by saying everything about this place was incredible.

We were sat on time at a table in the window to overlook the river and Wacker Dr…. Fantastic view!

We were greeted by Christos who welcomed us in and chatted about the menu and apologized our wait person would be there as soon as possible. That was not a problem as we were taking it all in. The room is beautiful, the ambiance and vibe were relaxing, the noise level was about how you expect it to be. We were able to talk without raising our voices. It was nice to watch the entire staff work together, they all had their specific roles although they also helped one another when needed.

I had a Bazaar Old Fashioned, very flavorful with Chamomile, a nice addition to the classic recipe.

Sofia our wait person came over and explained the menu, gave great recommendations! We started with the Croquetas de Pollo, they were very nice right down to the seasoning on the chicken. We also ordered the Bluefin Tuna and Fried Egg which was made table side and delicious, spice and salt level added to our taste.

I opted for the Vaca Vieja, which I discovered is Jose Andres’s favorite, and I can tell why! So well prepared and seasoned, it was a meatier steak which I prefer. My partner enjoyed the Bone in Ribeye which also was well prepared, good size portions as well, you can tell the do not skimp on anything.

For our vegetables we chose the Glazed Tokyo Turnips, just enough crunch packed with flavor! We also went for the Brussel Sprouts with a lemon air and puree that you mixed together. You can see the lemon air in the photos.

Dessert time! We had the Honey Pound Cake, which sounds simple enough but they brought it to another level with the addition of a lemon meringue crunch and the chestnut ice cream!

From arriving to the host stand to ending our dining experience, I cannot recommend this place enough. Jose Andres is a force in the restaurant field and a trip to Bazaar Meats will give you many reasons why!

The service here was very, very good. I enjoyed the banter with our main server, and the manager was willing to listen to our woes of an over-priced dinner the night before. The receptionists were also friendly and welcoming.
The Onion Soup and the “Philly Cheesesteak” were two innovative dishes that I enjoyed the most. The presentation was novel, and the ingredients built on top of each other with synergy.
The octopus and the steak were plainly, no-notes delicious with nothing to hide or hinder the nature flavor of the meat.

I visited this restaurant with my family for dinner and ordered the steak, which was strongly promoted through its presentation and description. The server advised that steak orders needed to be placed approximately 20 minutes in advance due to the marinating process, which set high expectations. Unfortunately, when the steak was served, it did not meet those expectations.

On a positive note, the cocktails were excellent, and I appreciated the small palate cleanser—believed to be gelato—served between courses, which was a thoughtful touch. The manager also acknowledged our presence by giving us his business card and asking if the service met our expectations, which made me feel special, although I later observed that he gives his card to all guests.

Overall, this establishment is better suited for enjoying well-crafted drinks and a calm, relaxed atmosphere.

Tapas is def genius. Honor to the origin but bring the creativity into the game. The steak is underwhelming. However, the service is def next level. We had a such a fruitful conversation with the manager, and he gave a tour to the all the beefs they have. It is very eye opening for sure. The host gave us free white wine which is very interesting. It smells like riseling from Germany but taste dry, nutty, and a little bubbly. They also gave us the free cheesecake. Final notes: the cocktail is def above the average. Nice balance.

We chose Bazaar Meat to celebrate our anniversary and decided to go with the Bazaar Meat Experience tasting menu. Every course was excellent, and our server was incredibly kind and genuinely happy to celebrate with us. Both guests need to select the same tasting menu, which we didn’t mind at all. I appreciated that with each course, the server gave a brief description and suggested the best way to enjoy it. Every portion was perfectly sized. By the end, we felt completely satisfied without being overwhelmed.

This was truly one of the most incredible dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment you walk in, you’re warmly greeted by a friendly host who takes your coat and guides you to your table. Our waitress was exceptionally knowledgeable about the menu, especially the meats and pairings, and I highly recommend asking for her suggestions. She really knew her stuff.

Throughout the evening, we were treated to a series of special bites from the kitchen, each one somehow better than the last. Every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious, and every recommendation from our waitress was spot-on.

We were also celebrating my husband’s birthday, and the staff went above and beyond surprising him with a special plate and a custom cocktail that the Restaurant Manager Martin crafted at our table! It was such a thoughtful and unexpected touch.

This restaurant is an absolute must visit. I can’t recommend it highly enough, and we’ll definitely be coming back.

We were relatively disappointed. It was ok but not great.
Atmosphere is very cool but loud. I loved the views of the river and the city. The room itself is very swanky and hip as well. As other reviews have said. The fact that there’s only 1 bathroom is a real miss in my opinion.
When we first arrived we received a nice complimentary glass of wine. I don’t drink alcohol so they replaced it with a nice non alcoholic version. That was great.
Our waiter greeted us and explained that the menu was more tapas and so you should order a lot of things. We followed his direction but honestly didn’t really like any of the appetizers/small plates. The “tacos” were not tacos at all and really all I could taste was the seaweed. It was gross. Then the tuna and egg thing came and that was actually tasty. Then we got the “caprese salad” which was delicious but not a salad at all. It was a very small plate with 3 tomatoes and dollops of mozzarella and a bed of pesto. Again, very tasty but tiny and expensive. The foie grass lollipops were given to us as a complimentary addition which was very nice. They were strange but pretty tasty.
The main entree was beef. We went for the 14 ounce option thank god because we were still very hungry by the time that came as everything we ordered was ridiculously tiny. We also got the scallops (all of 3! ‍♀️ again delicious but tiny) and the asparagus. The asparagus was to die for.
We skipped desert as there was nothing that sounded good to us.
The service was ok. Our server was average but the rest of the staff was attentive so it balanced out ok.
All in all it was $300 for not a lot of food and no drinks. We left still hungry and we are not big people. We typically eat only half our food so that’s really saying something. I think it’s too expensive for what it is and too strange for me. We will not be back.
