Wonderful experience at Edgar’s. Wing Wednesday, so we got the tossed wings w/Thai Chile sauce as an appetizer. Crispy outside, tender inside – very nice! My LW ordered a wedge salad and the smoked mac-n-cheese. I opted for the Brisket French Dip with a side of Skillet potatoes. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. The Chef even stopped by our table and we had a great conversation with him. Can’t wait to go back!

My fiancé and I visited for Valentine’s Day while in town for a wedding. We were a little disappointed at being seated at a table with several others as we would have liked a more intimate table. The prime ribs took a bit long, but were fairly good. The service and band were great. Our server, Deszare’e was very professional and even gave us both chocolates and me a rose at the end.

We had my mom’s birthday dinner here and the food was so NASTY for the prices they charge. The gumbo was watery the greens tasted like fish the frog legs were soggy the seafood pasta was bland and dry! The only good things were the half chicken lemon drops and the service from Dezz!

My friend had a reservation at 730 for 15 and 14 showed up. The entire group was there by 740. We had one waitress. They brought out water and cold bread to the table. When she brought the bread out the 2nd time it warm and under cooked( doughy). Everyone at the table except me finally gets their drink. I wait another 15 min for my drink while another person in the party ordered another drink and received it before I got my first. I ordered glazed crispy shrimp with salad 15 the 5 small shrimp and glaze were good. That cold salad with glob of nasty dressing ugh. The barbecue spaghetti was good the ribtips could have been a bit more tender but overall descent. The Mac n cheese worse ever in my life. No flavor at all the cheese was clumpy. (Sent it back no thank you)UGH! My drinks were decent. My bill was 58.84 with 9and some change for gratuity. The waitress didn’t deserve 9 dollars from the whole table let alone just from me. DO NOT EAT THERE!!!??

We were surprised to find Edgar’s located inside a golf course but the restaurant was large and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was early on a Saturday night and the restaurant was empty but the large bar area was crowded. Before we left a large party arrived and a few more tables filled but it was not too crowded. We were told the ingredients for our cocktails were not available due to a large party the previous night then waited 30 min for the oysters Rockefeller, which were overcooked. I tried the ribs that seemed to be reheated and we got the smoked chicken that was pretty good. The grilled potatoes were raw inside and the greens were undercooked and lacked any flavor. Prices were a little high for the quality of the food. Overall the staff were great, the restaurant was nice but the food was not great.

Edgar’s is my absolute favorite place! The food, the vibe, the service is always on point. It is the one place I would feel completely comfortable going to and sitting at the bar alone. The staff have all become friends and I feel like part of the Edgar’s fam!

Such a wonderful atmosphere!! Our first time discovering this hidden gem for dinner and drinks. The food was fantastic!! The service was top notch. I met the owner/chef tonight as he personally came to out table to welcome us into his restaurant. The band was fantastic and the place was hopping with fun. The service was really good too!! I definitely will be back and highly recommend that you give this place a go!!

I don’t usually post negative reviews, but I think the egregious nature of the billing (plus all the other issues) warrants one in this case.
Let me start by saying that the food itself tasted pretty good and some of the staff members were pleasant (some weren’t). It was also nice to see so many attendees dressed up in their fun costumes since the event was a “Halloween party.” (I’ll explain in a moment why that’s in quotations.) Those were pretty much the only highlights of the evening.
Tickets for the “party” cost $10, which would ordinarily seem quite reasonable. My good friend paid for me, herself, and her husband to attend. Our agreement was that I would buy her first drink as repayment. That comes into play a little bit down the line. When we arrived and presented our tickets, expecting to be seated at a table at the very least, we were told that we needed a reservation to sit at a table and would have to wait for a table to open up. I spotted a couple of empty tables, but whatever. We made our way to the room where the live band was playing, but there were just more occupied tables. No dance floor, no stools, nothing. There wasn’t even room to stand there and listen to the band. This was no party. It was literally just a restaurant serving drinks and food as they normally would have. I still don’t understand the cover charge for just sitting down and ordering food at a restaurant. There was no room to dance or mingle, hence NOT a party.
We waited for quite a long time and just as we were about to leave out of sheer frustration, the hostess notified us that they were going to clean off a table and we could finally be seated. Okay, great. (Note, we drove quite a distance to attend this faux party, which is the reason we were second-guessing whether or not we should just go somewhere else.)
After about 20 or so minutes, the server came over to take our drink orders. I asked him to put my friend’s one beverage on my check, which he agreed. About half an hour later, we received all of our beverages and the server took our food order. I kid you not, it was at least an additional 45 minutes to an hour before we received our food orders. As I mentioned before, the food was tasty. Not spectacular, but good. The bus person was diligent about removing our used dishes, but the server didn’t do much follow-up (ie. refilling the water glasses, etc.).
The final straw was when we received our checks. At the bottom of each check, there was a notation that all parties of six or more would automatically incur a 20% gratuity. Pretty standard so I don’t have an issue with that. The problem is that our party only contained THREE PEOPLE, so why was that charge added to both of our bills?!? That seems like quite a deceptive practice, if you ask me. In addition to that, the server ended up putting ALL of the drinks on my bill, instead of just the one that I asked him to do. Luckily, my friend and her husband aren’t jerks, so they just gave me cash to pay for theirs.
I would have loved to rave about this business, but our experience dictates that a positive review was not deserved in this case. This restaurant needs to review its business practices, in my opinion. I don’t think it’s smart business to dupe your customers into paying for a ticket to attend a party that doesn’t really exist and then pad the bill. Shameful.
