I haven’t had Taco John’s in decades—I’m pretty sure I mean that—and it didn’t disappoint. I’m pretty sure I walked in during a staff meeting, but the manager was nonetheless wonderfully helpful. He knew what he was talking about, friendly, and informative. Despite his leading of 10-odd zoomed staff, he paused the meeting, asked them to go outside, and guided me through the menu options with advice and suggestions.
It’s in a small town just off the highway—so don’t expect a social experience—but boy was that steak and tater burrito wonderful—and the tater bowl too!!

A crunchy taco which felt like a soft taco. Opened it and it was literally soaked in salsa and falling apart. Items missing. Evening crews there are terrible. Can’t get orders right anytime we have ordered. Usually LOVE Taco John’s but the past few times we have ordered in the evening have been terrible.

Very poor quality. Lettuce was wilted and ice cold. Tortilla was cold and stiff. The chicken was obviously old and bone dry. Horrible horrible horrible.

We ordered 2 taco salads and 2 mocha ice
coffees. The employees were very friendly and the place was clean. The pricing was reasonable. The salads were delicious and the coffee was enjoyable. Would definitely go back there again, when we go through on our travels.

They were obviously short staffed, as are many places now days. The dining room was closed, so I had to go through the drive-through. It looked like there may have been three people working, one of which was in training? At any rate, the employees were doing a stellar job for their situation. Good customer service and hot, (seemingly) fresh fast food.

Very bad experience, will not ever return. I have visited many Taco John’s as they are one of my favorite fast food Mexican restaurants BUT this place…wow. Took 20 min to get through three cars, then messed up our order. Not once…not twice…but three times and truth be told – it was still messed up! I got tired of waiting for them to correct it and left. Horrible customer service. Ended up throwing half my order out because I could not eat it. Potato Ole’s…unseasoned…how can you measure the staple menu items of Taco John’s??! Ugh…I’m done and I’m out.

Absolutely horrible service from one of the lady’s that worked there. We had a family of 6 with 4 young kids and every time we ordered something else she rolled her eyes. Then when I went back up to order something for my son who was undecided, she got snappy with me. The food was terrible. Salad was brown and tortilla shell was cold. The nachos looked like slop. There was one young man that took my order the second time who was very polite.

I’m sorry but I don’t usually write bad reviews but I have to this time.
First, the young lady behind the counter could not any questions as to what was in an item and she didn’t seem to care.
Second, there was utter confusion amongst the staff and the only one really putting food together was the manager and he had lost patience with staff and was not working with them. It seemed like they were milling about doing a whole lot of nothing. Although they did make sure they had their cell with them.
Third, there was no ice in the lobby drink dispenser so their answer was to put ice in your cups for you if they came back to the counter. Which didn’t matter a whole lot as there was no lids for the reg. size cups. Someone could have easily put ice in the dispenser instead.
Forth, if you were a walk in you were definitely treated secondary to the drive through. We could not drive through as we were towing a 35′ trailer. We waited 25 minutes for a meal and were not even told sorry for wait. Furthermore when we were in our truck we found that they had not given a single napkin and part of order was wrong.
Fifth, the lobby was not very clean, dirty tables everywhere.
Overall we ended up pay $40.00, (for two adults and two kids) waiting 25 minutes and not getting the right items in our order.
