Oh my gosh!! This place is AMAZING!! Parking is limited, seating is outdoors with a plastic sheet enclosure, and the building is a small shack, but the food is incredible! I got the chili relleno and hubby got the shredded beef chimi, served on beautiful plates with a lovely flower. There was more than enough food for one serving so we brought home leftovers. I highly recommend eating here and it’s now my new go-to for Mexican food in Portland. Forgot to mention the bonus — each meal was only $10 each!!

Wow, an amazing burrito for $10. Super tasty and doesn’t even warrant any of their amazing hot sauces. It is also the hottest temperature burrito I’ve ever been served in my life. They have some serious expertise going on in that kitchen. I have been to their other location for enchiladas and moles which are also awesome, and you got to love big painted Mexican ceramic plates.

Enchilada mole was well portioned. Chicken was dry unfortunately. Mole reminded me of a roux if you’re from the south. It was a type of dish I’d order once if ya know what I mean!

Portland, Oregon, is no stranger to exceptional dining experiences, but Mole Mole Mexican Cuisine stands out as a true gem in the city’s vibrant food scene. Nestled in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, this unassuming restaurant delivers a masterful blend of traditional Mexican flavors and modern culinary creativity. From the moment you step inside, the warm, inviting atmosphere and the tantalizing aroma of simmering sauces promise a meal that’s as memorable as it is delicious.
At the heart of Mole Mole’s menu is its namesake: mole, the rich, complex sauce that is a cornerstone of Mexican cuisine. The restaurant’s dedication to authenticity is evident in every bite, but it’s their ability to innovate that truly sets them apart. Take, for instance, their TRES MOLES ENCHILADAS, a dish that showcases the restaurant’s commitment to both tradition and artistry. This plate features three distinct moles-classic Oaxacan, pipian verde, and a smoky chipotle- each layered over tender enchiladas. The result is a symphony of flavors that dances between sweet, savory, and spicy, leaving you eager for the next bite. It’s a dish that feels both deeply rooted in tradition and refreshingly new.
For vegans, Mole Mole offers a standout option that proves plant-based dining can be just as indulgent and satisfying: the Vegan Burrito. Stuffed with perfectly seasoned black beans, roasted vegetables, and cilantro-lime rice, this burrito is a testament to the kitchen’s ability to elevate simple ingredients into something extraordinary. The addition of their house-made vegan mole sauce adds a layer of depth and richness that makes this dish a must-try, even for the most devoted carnivores.
Beyond the food, Mole Mole’s commitment to quality and hospitality shines through. The staff is knowledgeable and passionate, eager to guide diners through the menu and share the stories behind each dish. The restaurant’s cozy, colorful decor adds to the experience, creating a space that feels both festive and intimate.
In a city known for its culinary innovation, Mole Mole Mexican Cuisine manages to carve out a unique niche. It’s a place where tradition is honored, but not at the expense of creativity. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Mexican cuisine or a newcomer eager to explore, Mole Mole is a destination that deserves a spot on your Portland dining itinerary.

I had s long day, low on brain power. Couldn’t decide between the shrimp enchiladas or the regular enchiladas. Staff was very helpful and the food is fantastic. Great service, just a consistent establishment. Also they were playing Kung Fu Panda inside Prost. 5 stars all day.

Lovely food cart tucked away on Alberta. The Tres Mole Enchilada plate is both their signature dish and my favorite to get everytime. I go biking here with my friends often. I can’t choose a favorite flavor of mole and the portions are perfectly sized for my appetite. Charming atmosphere for a food cart. They have their own decorative plates!
