Got to check this spot out. It came on my Instagram feed. At first I had ordered it through DoorDash but they ran out of a food that was a fried chicken so I did not get to try it. So I drove down and got to check out the restaurant. It’s a small establishment a little bit bare but not too flashy. The service was really fast and they were very nice. Since they didn’t have fried chicken she recommended me the sea salt fish. It was really good and a great selection. And since they were out of fried chicken they switched it over the fish was a little bit more but she covered it. That was really nice of her. The prices are worth how much you get. And there are very sweet and very nice and if I need anything as it was it to go order they took care of it. The food is really amazing and hits the spot. Definitely if you have time check it out and look it up. A good family restaurant.

This resturant used to offer MaLaTang (Chinese mini hotpot) exclusively which our family love. Recently they pivoted to a traditional Chinese home style cooking restaurant. I was skeptical about the transition but decided to give it a try. To our surprise, we love the food even more! Now this is our go to dinner place after my kid’s after school class. If you enjoy Chinese home style food, this is a hidden gem.
Regarding the service, the place was run by a family and it feels going home each time.

Finally found a perfect place for a quick to-go lunch. The crispy salt & pepper tofu was super crunchy and flavorful, even for takeout. The Chongqing spicy chicken had the perfect kick, spicy, and loaded with flavor Definitely ordering again!

NO LONGER A MALATANG SPOT
food was good, ordered the mapo tofu(it was spicy but not numbing spicy), beef and broccoli, and pork and seaweed soup. we enjoyed the soup the most.
overall had a good experience.

FYI: Not a Malatang spot anymore. Google gotta fix that.
Really really good food.
Orange chicken was nice and crispy, good cuts and well trimmed.
Cumin beef was tasty, well spiced, and had a good amount of fresh ingredients.
Chow Mein was really nice as well. I think it was chicken and minced pork belly. Pork belly was well spiced and the noodles werent too oily. Cabbage had some nice browning on it.
Steamed dumplings were good. I cant think of anything specific to say but definitely tasty and fresh.
Cute place. Definitely a family run place, nice and cozy. Will be my go to when I want Chinese. Highly recommend you give it a try.

My new favorite place! The broth is so satisfying – it is so flavorful and has just the right amount of numbing spice. Highly recommend the beef bone broth soup base with either medium spicy or spicy. The Szechuan spicy base is good too!
You can choose from a variety of meats, seafood, veggies and noodles. Pick whichever ingredients you want as long as it meets the minimum 0.8 lbs (they charge you by weight)
The service is top notch here. The staff is super friendly and they go above and beyond! It’s so good that we came back a week after trying it for the first time!

I have been to Master Gua for two times and the food is delicious. I love the Malatang, spicy soup based mini hotpot, and my kid loves the non spicy one with noodles. A good place for both kids and adults. It is also great that we could choose any meat or vegetables we like.

I stopped by for dinner and the staff was so nice and friendly! overall, I would say that their food options to add into hot pot is plentiful but i was looking for udon noodles which they did not have! The soup that they provided is very different which I appreciated aka tom yum – which is not common for these individual bowl style. but I must say that the soup was a little bit more salty overtime than I would’ve liked! I would definitely stop by again and id say the ambiance is very casual and chill.
tips:
– mainly street parking or metered parking within the plaza itself
– one unisex bathroom available
– good for friends and family!
– hot pot or chinese bbq available
