I discovered Dosa Hut while searching for vegetarian restaurants. I ate here nearly every night for dinner during my work trip. Every dish was delicious to the taste. My favorite dish is the pallak paneer. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is very clean with a great atmosphere. I highly recommend this place to anyone no matter if you are vegetarian, vegan, or not. The food is incredibly delicious. I’ll definitely be returning when work sends me back to Rocky Hill.

I recently visited this restaurant and really enjoyed the food. The gobi manchurian was crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of spice. The pav bhaji was rich, buttery, and full of authentic taste, served hot with soft pav. Everything tasted fresh and made with care. The place feels welcoming, the service is friendly, and the food came out hot and fresh. If you love Indian street-style food, this is the best place to go.

i love south indian food, and this is better then the south indian food i have tried at any restaurant, even very fancy ones. menu has amazing selection and variety, and i will say the paratha is easily the best i’ve tried. cute interior, quick service, and lovely staff. well spiced, well plated, and the price is simply unbeatable, especially with the huge portions. left with a huge smile and a full stomach.

Came in on 12/4 while passing through. Awful experience overall. Extremely rude staff with 0 customer service. We ordered online since we were driving through and wanted to pick up food during a quick stop on a road trip. We had accidentally ordered a dosa that was extremely spicy. Inedible for our spice tolerance. Their online ordering system mentioned which items were spicy and this dosa was not described as being spicy. We asked if there was anyway they could remake us a non spicy replacement and the staff fought saying “garlic is spicy” and said we were wrong and they needed to charge us. We explained and after more arguing they agreed to make a replacement dosa. They didn’t even try to be reasonable and give a discount on the replacement since their website was obviously missing some information. The food was delicious but service was poor beyond belief.

This is hands-down my favorite restaurant in the Hartford area and some of the best South Indian food I’ve ever had. We don’t eat out a lot but we do come here frequently and have noticed it’s always busy, probably because of the quality you get for the price. (Weekday lunch specials are especially great if you can take the time!) We’ve also brought many family and friends who have not even noticed that the menu is all vegetarian because the food is so good.
I’m vegan and there are a plethora of options, just make sure you specify non-dairy when ordering just because sometimes there has been some confusion.
Go-to orders for my non-vegan husband and myself:
– vegan appetizer: gobi manchurian
– vegan entrees: chole bhatura, chennai paratha, chana masala, aloo gobi, any of the dosas
– vegetarian entrees: veggie korma
– vegetarian dessert: gulab jamun

The food does come out fresh and fast.
Podi Idli- 5/5 ( they were roasted really well with podi powder and tasted great)
Chole batura-5/5 ( this was really better than expected)
Mini tiffin combo-3/5( didn’t like the upma, vada was really great, but the masala in the dosa wasn’t that great)
Would definitely visit more.

First time visiting here and was very impressed. Fast and friendly service dining in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Truly authentic South Indian pure veg. Very fair pricing and large portions. Mango Lassi was very fresh. Restaurant was very clean, I enjoyed the stainless steel cups and plates. Everything came out quickly after ordering, hot and fresh. Look forward to trying again soon.

Always good and vegetarian. A few of the items are on the hot side, but all very good. (If we’re being specific the way my grandmother makes rasam is less hot, but thiers is good to.) I don’t think ill ever love anyone’s idlis as much as my grandmother’s, but I do enjoy thiers. (Most places I order idlis and regret it, but not here.) And, the price is right.
