We got in early before the crowd on Saturday and had very attentive service; very pleasant and drinks topped off without asking. We ordered 6 different meals and knew some would have to come home with us (large portions). Many great options. My wife’s choice was the butternut squash ravioli with apples and crasins that she raved about. The rest of us had the sesame salmon, fish and chips, chicken parmesian; hamburger and Mac n cheese for the kids; all were very happy.

Coming home from medical appointments after 8 p.m. called for a perfect stop at the Fox & Hound in Quincy. It’s been several years since we’ve eaten here, but we knew it was the right choice.
Sitting at the bar, we rec’d great, relaxed service, and looked across the room to see the inviting fireplace with nice white lights on the ceiling.
The French Onion Soup was just perfect. I mentioned that I often select clam chowder or FOS, and their vetsion was delicious.

My wife had the Jazzed Greens with Blackened Chicken. The chicken was perfect, and the blackened flavor was an eye opener, as we realized we hadn’t eaten this style in well over 10 yrs!
The contrasts in the salad were wonderful, and the candied walnuts created a dessert-feel for the end of our meal!

**5 Stars – Absolutely Perfect for Our Daughter’s Baby Shower!**

I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant—it truly made our daughter’s baby shower unforgettable, and I’m still flying high from how wonderful everything turned out.

We had a bit of a scare leading up to the event. Our daughter was hospitalized for five days, and for a while, we weren’t sure the shower would even happen. It was touch-and-go, and we were quickly running out of time to cancel.Barbara, our contact person, was incredibly understanding, empathetic, and kind throughout the uncertainty. She patiently waited with us to see how things would unfold, offering support and flexibility every step of the way. Her compassion made all the difference during such a stressful time.

When the day finally arrived and we showed up to set up, I was completely blown away by how gorgeous the place is. We had the tavern side all to ourselves, and it was the perfect cozy, warm setting for our celebration. The natural wood decor, gleaming brass accents, enormous bar, and that huge, roaring fireplace (lit and welcoming!) suited our theme beautifully—it felt intimate and elegant without being stuffy.

The staff on duty that day was superb from start to finish. Leah, in particular, was a joy—fun, professional, and so efficient that the entire event ran like clockwork. It genuinely felt like we were hosting at a friend’s beautiful home rather than a restaurant.

And the food? Out of this world. We chose the Italian buffet, and every dish was delicious. The Caesar salad was crisp and perfectly dressed, the chicken marsala was tender and flavorful, the chicken, ziti, broccoli Alfredo was creamy and satisfying, and the Italian meatballs were a standout—savory and tender.
Bread baskets were warm and fresh.
For dessert, we added tiramisu that was light, fluffy, and absolutely divine—not too heavy, just perfect. We also had a lovely coffee and tea bar set up, which everyone appreciated. The bartender was fantastic (sorry I do not have her name) and we kept her busy.

We received so many compliments from guests about the food, the atmosphere, and how smoothly everything went. My daughter is doing great now, and looking back, I couldn’t have been happier with how the day turned out. This restaurant didn’t just host an event—they made a special family moment truly magical during a challenging time.

Thank you to Barbara, Leah, and the entire team for going above and beyond. We’ll be back, and we’ll be recommending you to everyone!

Highly recommend—5 stars aren’t enough! ❤️ I wish I could post a photo. It looked so beautiful.

This is our second year having a post holiday family gathering at the F&H. Leah and Carly, our hostesses and servers were terrific! They made our time so relaxed and enjoyable!
The area by the fireplace is so inviting, especially for a party of 28! People mingle and enjoy!
We will be returning next year for our gathering and appreciate all that the F&H offer!

We are from Rhode Island, our daughter is getting married in NH, so to make it easier on the families for travel reasons we choose Quincy to have her shower.
I first want to say I worked with Barbara Ray, who was amazing at returning my emails, countless questions and easing my anxiety about this process! Fox and Hound are Blessed to have her! the quote came back as the best one for our needs. The building I had never come into, however walking into the area for the shower, my stress fell off and I was so pleasantly surprised on how put together the area was! Beautiful beams on ceilings lighted with small lights, tables were set, (I placed my decorations on the tables) and around the whole area to create my vision. I can’t remember name of the host who worked with us (I’m sorry) but she was on top of refilling the buffet, and ensuring everything was in place down to letting me know when to have our daughter open her gifts, cut the cake , taking photos where would it work best. Our experience was amazing!! The food.. WOW breakfast Buffett we had was so good I still hear from guests who attended on how beautiful it was and “the food was so fresh and hot”
I will send some photos , but if you are looking for a place in Quincy for 60 people, this was amazing and I highly recommend it for a bridal shower! THANK YOU FOR MAKING OUR DAUGHTERS DAY! Our date was March 2nd 2024, sorry this is late in posting just want to commend them on an amazing job!

Hate to be negative, but we won’t be returning. Ordered some drinks when we sat down, they were okay. Had a decent selection of cocktails, but were made all the same. Ordered a few appetizers, the last to come was the garlic bread – it looked great, but upon cutting it open there was mold everywhere. I politely asked the waitress to take it back to the kitchen and we were going to go elsewhere for dinner and to let me know if I owed anything. Still was charged for the other apps, and drinks. All for paying for that we had – but zero owner of manager came by to address the situation. $100 for some drinks and moldy bread. Yuck.

On the flip side the menu offerings sounded great, and the prices are cheap.

Unfortunately won’t be back.

If you’re looking for a tavern feel with a nice bar then this is the place for you. Although my friend and I didn’t like the entrees too much, we did enjoy our time here and the appetizer.

Entrees: Scallop Risotto – the scallops were over cooked and the risotto was very dry. Chicken Satay – the chicken was a bit on the drier side and the gravy was underwhelming.

Appetizer: Cauliflower – this one slaps! It was the best thing we had.

Overall, it was a clean place which I appreciated and our waitress was kind although it was taking a long time to be attended to despite the lack of customers there.

I think this place is probably best to go to in the evening for appetizers and drinks!

Booked this venue for my daughter’s bridal shower brunch and it was a great experience. Plenty of room for 60 plus people. Food was very good and set up was just lovely, plenty of space for the buffet and a display of a cake and cupcakes which were brought in by bridesmaids. Owners were very accommodating in providing a bit of extra time to set up a flower arch, etc. There was a separate bar and the bartender, Billy, was on top of things, making sure the Mimosa bar was well stocked and providing other drinks as well. There were restrooms in the party space so no need to go into the restaurant which was a nice feature.
Highly recommend.

The restaurant stood out with how pretty the building was inside and out. There is a large parking lot and it’s conveniently located. Although the food was good, I expected it to be better.

Did not taste too much garlic on the garlic bread because it was grilled, the marinara sauce complemented it well. The Fox BBQ Platter is light on the quantity of meat. The steak and sausage were cooked well and the chicken was a little dry. I have never seen such a large portion of cole slaw.

The ambience is nice and I would try another dish next time. Please note, there is a 3% fee when using your credit card, we paid cash, it’s not a big deal.
