I love how clean the store is and the staff was very helpful and attentive! Everything is organized really nicely so you can find what you like.
The interior feels nice and well put together overall. One of the standout details is the standing tables designed to look like giant cups of instant noodles, which are charming and fit the concept perfectly. The whole vibe is slightly playful and fun.
After you’ve chosen your noodles, you have the option to add on their unlimited toppings bar. I’d recommend going for it, though I’ll be honest, the selection was a little underwhelming compared to what I was hoping for. Bean sprouts, onions, green onion, tofu, shrimp, sliced hotdog, meatballs, dumplings, imitation crab, and a few others were available, but I was expecting more variety, particularly when it came to vegetables and maybe a sliced meat option. It’s solid enough, just don’t go in with sky-high expectations for that part.
You’re told a number at the register to use at the cooking stations, what I assume corresponds to a water fill level and cook time, and the induction burner handles the cooking automatically. You just stir occasionally and wait. One heads-up: if you’ve loaded up heavily at the toppings bar, managing the bowl during cooking gets a little tricky, so keep that in mind when you’re piling things on.
They also carry a great selection of unique Asian canned and bottled drinks, boba tea, and ice cream which is nice.
Now, here’s where I have to pump the brakes a little. The seating situation is a real problem. To be fair, the place is brand new and clearly drawing a crowd, but the current layout simply cannot handle the volume of people coming through. There’s no outdoor seating, and it’s genuinely common to finish cooking your noodles and have nowhere to sit. Taking it to go isn’t a great workaround either since you’re dealing with boiling hot ramen that will turn to mush before you make it home. When I visited, they had even run out of to-go lids entirely, and I watched people attempting to eat piping hot noodles while sitting on the curb outside. That’s not the vibe anyone is going for.
Overall, The Ramyun.Zip is a fun, affordable, and tasty experience as far as elevated instant noodle concepts go. But the seating issue is enough to keep me from rushing back. I’d give it another shot once the newness wears off and the crowd thins out a bit. Until then, I’d suggest going at an off-peak time and hoping for the best.
The ramen bar concept was cool and a fun experience. There is a lot of variety in the topping bar (including halal meat) and the prices are all reasonable :). Would highly recommend stopping by!
The staff is amazing, they helped with everything so politely. The whole experience was amazing from choosing noodles to cooking them ourselves. The toppings were fresh and flavorful, and you can really taste the quality. The ambiance was cozy with a great vibe, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy good food.
Definitely a place I’d come back to! Highly recommended ❤️
