The burgers are amazing! I ordered the Inferno Burger, I don’t really care for buffalo sauce (personal preference) so I asked to replace it with their Blackberry Habanero sauce instead this definitely took it to a whole new level of awesomeness! My wife had the salmon with the Honey Garlic Bourbon glaze, and she said it was awesome. We had Pepper Jack cheese balls and the Fried Brussel sprouts with pork belly as our starters they were both very good. The Brussel sprouts were next level delicious. Also, our friends ordered a salad, and the Hangover burger both looked amazing as well.

The Old Guys Pub Crawl loved this place. Of all the places we have been I have not commented on the food but the club sandwich here makes me want to return for another. And, they serve beer. The old guys that travel with the crawl love beer.

I really can’t comment about the atmosphere but I ordered takeout from this place last night and the burger I got was spectacular!! It was huge, cook perfectly as asked for and everything had amazing flavor! The best burger I’ve had in a really long time! Thanks Banners I will be ordering again!

The atmosphere and service were great. Unfortunately, the chicken tenders were awful—one star. If you’re coming here for food, I wouldn’t recommend ordering them.

To their credit, they offered to remove it from my bill after I had already paid. Still, if someone takes a couple bites, doesn’t ask for a box, and the plate gets tossed, it should be pretty clear the food wasn’t enjoyed.

We were in the area and wanted to try something different. Google had Banners at a 4.5. I have no idea how they have such a high rating because the experience was awful. We ordered an appetizer and then food a bit later. We waited and waited for the appetizer and then our entrees came out. I told the food runner. “I guess you can cancel the appetizer”. Her response was “It is already made, I am about to bring it out”. What? I was noticeably irritated.

Nothing about any part of the meal was good. The Buffalo Chicken Dip was not good. I had two bites and couldn’t eat any more. My husband did eat it because he didn’t want to “waste” it. He said, “they put tomatoes and onions on the top to make it unique but it made it worst.” The dip came with chips, celery, and carrots. The carrots had not been cut properly and the veggies were so wet that water puddled on the plate and some chips got soggy.

My husband said his wings were fine but not worth the cost. Rooster’s is much better taste and price wise. I got the open-faced roast beef and it was supposed to be “covered with au jus”. That was not the case. The au jus was just placed in the bottom. The problem with this is that by the sixth bite all the juice had been sucked up by the bread. The beef was dry and salty and because the sauce was gone I had to stop eating. I got a container to go and stopped at Meijer on the way home to get additional gravy so I can finish the meal. I got onion rings for the side and they had been cooked too long.

The only reason this is not a 1 star review is because the waitress was friendly and kept the drinks full.

Disappointed. So many folks told us to check this spot out. We had a great server at the bar. She was kind and attentive. The atmosphere, however, blows. Example 1- feels like a 1999 applebees. Example 2- you call yourselves a sports bar but dont even have the sound on for the SEC football championship game. Rude patrons and overpriced liquor.

Banners is a classic neighborhood bar. Burgers, fries, homemade chips and rings are always excellent. The menu is large and offers a good selection of pub fare with a local central Kentucky flair. Friendly wait staff welcome and make you feel comfortable and right at home as you would expect in a joint located on the corner in your neighborhood. The crowd includes locals, regulars and the occasional swim team from across the street. No matter, all are welcome, the food is good and the atmosphere is casual.

Normally a great experience, but this time my Cuban burger was more of a spicy mustard burger…need to back off on the mustard to allow the tasting of the awesome meats involved…

Visiting Lex, Banners recommended for good food and drinks and sports … Sunday games on all TVs, I had the Banner California Salad with Salmon in stead of chicken. It exceeded my expectations! Decent price on Yuengling draft too. Would visit again .

First time and last time to Banners. Our servers were great. Taylor and Bentley where fab and gave top notch service. The food and drinks were great as well. How can you run a sports bar with over 50 percent of ur customers wearing bengals gear, not to mention it being the closest professional football team to Lexington and even after being asked not switch the sound to the game the majority of people are watching. Bummer wanted to love it.
