We loved the interior of the restaurant! Lots of tables inside and outside. There’s bar as well.
The food was delicious. The only thing I personally didn’t like was that the burger patty was not salted at all.
It was our friend’s birthday so they served birthday cake on the house.
Server was nice and somebody would always pour water for us and check on us.

Quite possibly the worst restaurant experience. Started with a wait time of about an hour they said but instead was about an hour and 45 minutes. Only went in here because it began to rain and figured why not. We were two families visiting the town and saw there were many empty tables so figured that it shouldn’t take too long, boy were we wrong.
Not sure how one makes a salad salty but they did. No taste in shrimp and grits. Cheese on vegetarian pizza tasted like socks. No taste in duck soup and very little duck in the bowl although the broth had plenty of flavor. Devil eggs tasted processed for some reason.
We had 8 people in our group so they added gratuity automatically. I didn’t see this notice before but it’s to be expected these days. They waiter and cooks definitely did not deserve 20%. Paid just over 250 for 5 people.
Didn’t get many pictures of food because I was not impressed by presentation or taste. Environment looks inviting. Service was sub-par. Drinks were OK. Those at the bar looked like they were having the best time haha.
If looking for good food and a good time then I’d encourage you to go down street and you are bound to find it but this place is not it.

The place is beautiful, the service was friendly and helpful, and the food was well portioned and delicious. The French onion soup was my favorite. The goat cheese mushroom Flatbread was outstanding.

None of the 4 meals we ordered were served edible enough! We ordered smothered beans with gravy, Josh’s carrots, duck noodles and burger. The beans were salty, carrots are like mushed and flavorless, duck is chewy and soup is a salt bomb and the burger is bathing in mustard when we told the server don’t put any mustard in it. We tried taking our duck noodles to go but they don’t have any containers for it. In the photo was the duck soup with their suggested sad tiny take out container. If you want legit downtown Asheville food: Table, Limones and Proper never disappoint!

Sadly disappointed. Went there last week with my wife on a weekday night and the initial greeting and the food and the service were totally enjoyable. Couldn’t wait to bring my entire family back.. Brought them all last night and I could not believe how long we had to wait for service, how long we had to wait for our food after we ordered it all. We finally got our appetizers, they were good. The entrees were cold, especially the short ribs which had no flavor. We tried canceling the salads which didn’t arrive until we had finished our entrees. Nobody bussed the tables, and dirty finished dishes just sat there until we were finished. Dessert that finally arrived was very good. Extremely disappointed. Hope with all the money they have invested in this place that the overall quality of this restaurant improves.

The restaurant is beautiful and in such a great location. They have everything going for it except for the food. I have dined here two times and was disappointed both times. I came here for dinner when it first opened and was underwhelmed but gave it grace because it just opened. I just came here for breakfast and it was so gross. I had chilaquiles and it was so bad I didn’t eat it. My boyfriend had the steak and eggs and the steak was gross. There is no excuse to have a bad food program at such a nice place and in a town where food is top notch wherever you go. The other reviews also show it isn’t a great spot. I hope they can turn this around quickly or the restaurant will just flop.

Bartenders are great and serve amazing food. Been twice the main servers on floor are way overworked. Jason made sure we got a nice table there near bar, he went extra and still served us at table instead of ordering at bar. Jason was amazing. Even a cook came by to ask bartender a quick question. He also checked on us, appreciated our visit. Luke I believe.
Food hands down so so good! Both trips have had very good food. Well planned and executed menu! Chicken and waffle sandwich is new favorite. Go for food, atmosphere, service needs work.

Some of the negative reviews in here really surprise me! I’m local and have been here 3 times for dinner over the past 3-4 months (once at bar, twice at indoor tables) and honestly loved it every time. Attentive, warm service, great drinks, and interesting, flavorful food! Love the okra app and trout entree in particular.
