We actually came to Original Cuisine a long time ago, but with so many new restaurants opening, we kind of forgot about it. We came back on a Saturday night for dinner, and honestly, once we walked in, all the memories came right back.
The place isn’t very big, but it’s roomy enough, and the tables aren’t too close to each other, so it feels comfortable even when it’s busy. Our server was really nice and friendly, which we always appreciate.
The food was just as good as we remembered, fresh, flavorful, and very satisfying. We ordered quite a few dishes: beef tongue, crispy pork intestines, Tianjin pancakes, sliced beef with ox tongue, numbing pork blood, cabbage, pork belly with garlic, and braised beef noodle soup. Everything came out great and tasted very authentic.
The pork belly with garlic was definitely the highlight. It was tender, super flavorful, and the presentation was fun too. The braised beef noodle soup was comforting, and all the other dishes were solid and delicious.
Coming back here really reminded us how good this place is. Now that our taste buds are refreshed, we’ll definitely be back more often. Some good restaurants really stand the test of time, and Original Cuisine is definitely one of them.

This place has the best authentic Sichuan style Chinese food in Phoenix! The dry pot is amazing which I recommend the most and the string beans and chili chicken were spicy enough to my liking. Only thing I didn’t like too much was the shredded potatoes because they added too much vinegar making it more sour than spicy. Still the rest of the dishes make up for it. Food is reasonably priced, much more compared to SoCal. Plenty of parking outside and the staff are friendly.

So glad I stopped at Original Cuisine after passing it earlier on my way to an appointment. Do not let the building or the area around it turn you off. Walk in and you will be warmly greeted by their staff. I was tired so I got my food to go. I went with the broccoli beef that came with white rice. I got home and could not wait to open up my bag. The food was still pipping hot and I dug in! The broccoli had a great crunch to it and was seasoned well. The same for the beef. The sauce was light, and had a delicious flavor without being too salty. I got a few meals out of it for just $12!
This will be my new spot whenever I get a craving. I can’t wait to come back!

Original Cuisine succeeded my expectations. Authentic Chinese food with fair prices. Their eggplant with beans was tender, flavorful, and satisfying with rice. Try out the spicy chicken with green peppers. A flavor explosion with a kick. It had a medium to high spice for me. If you don’t like spicy food, there are still dishes you can enjoy here. Like this simplistic tomato egg soup. Beautiful food presentation and perfectly friendly service.

Authentic Sichuan cuisine with large portions and fresh, high-quality ingredients. Nothing on the menu has been disappointing, and I recommend trying the authentic dishes and specials. The cold sliced beef and ox tounge in chili sauce (夫妻肺片) is amazing and everything you could ask for if you’re looking for a ton sichuan peppercorn flavor. The salty chili and peppercorn oil pairs beautifully with the chinese celery and tender meat. It is a must try for people wanting an explosion of flavor. Another amazingly fragrant dish was the stir-fried green beans (干煸四季豆). This had an intense savory and acidic flavor from the zha cai (preserved mustard stems). The beans also have a perfectly even char giving it a wrinkly texture to hold onto more sauce while keeping the beans crispy. Ending on an approachable yet beloved dish, the twice-cooked pork is well-executed. It is thinly sliced stir-fried pork belly with a more firm texture. It utilizes the two Sichuan ingredients that make the cuisine unique: Doubanjiang (frememted broad beans) and Douchi (fermented black soybeans). Both flavors are present in this rendition, but they are not as prominent as they could be, and I felt especially as though the doubanjiang was lacking. Additionally, the pork was not crispy, so there was no textural contrast. It is still worth trying and reasonably priced. Finally, the service is extraordinarily quick and the staff are friendly.

The best Chinese in all of Arizona. Perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and quick on top of it. Every time my family goes we argue over on what not to get, because we want it all.
Also, the staff is always friendly. We bring a young child and they are so helpful.

I was thrilled to pick one, and to my delight, I won $2.00! This fun and festive touch truly enhanced the joyful spirit of the celebration.
**Warm Welcome and Quick Service**
I arrived at the restaurant around 9:15 PM, just before closing time due to the Chinese New Year festivities. The friendly waiter informed me that they would be closing at 9:30 PM, but I was genuinely grateful that they welcomed me in at such a late hour. Their willingness to serve me made me feel valued as a customer.
**Delicious Fish Skewers**
I decided to order the fish skewers, and let me tell you, they were nothing short of amazing! The flavors were vibrant, and the dish was beautifully presented. The broth that accompanied the skewers was equally delightful, enhancing the overall experience.
