Live in the neighborhood so we’ve been a few times. The service is always a bit rough (atmosphere and food are generally ok/good). We decided to go back today for the first time in a while. We sat at a high top directly facing the kitchen. Ordered beers and food all in the same go. We saw our food set on the counter and the cook rang the bell. The server walked by it multiple times and just let it sit there. Then, it took another 15 minutes for our drinks to be delivered while we watched our food sit on the counter. The whole time the cooks kept shuffling stuff around and ringing the bell for someone to serve the food that was ready. At this point, the kitchen window is full of food no one is delivering to tables. The server keeps walking right past it and doing nothing. She’s also spending most of her time chatting with the bartender and someone who is clearly her friend sitting at the bar. I kept telling my partner I really hoped I was wrong and it wasn’t actually our food in the window. Unfortunately, it was. Our burgers were cold when we got them. Whether it’s a $5 or $20 burger, temperature should not be an issue. You get a hot burger at McDonald’s. And at least there it’s fast. Rough experience for a $20 burger that was room temperature at best.

Was looking for a place to go for some good food and drinks before a concert at riverbend. The local post was SO good! Not pictured is the Buffalo chicken egg rolls and fried pickles. Pictured is a summer special cocktail, and the 1788 burger with their uniquely shaped fries that were perfectly crispy. I will definitely be back! I highly recommend!

The salads are fresh, and the wings are perfectly cooked! The staff is great. The restaurant is clean, and it has a very upbeat vibe. Fun spot for a date night or time out with friends. We really enjoyed eating lunch here.

Good food, very friendly folks. Chicken Ceasar had plenty of tasty chicken, grilled cheese was pretty darn good too. Good spot to watch the game. Very clean. Was too chilly/ windy for the deck, but it looked like a great spot to hang.

It is always a good time when you come to local post! The staff is always on it including the kitchen. The environment and vibes are immaculate. The patio is also super awesome and dog friendly! There is a bunch of tvs and even corn hole outside. If you havent been here, you are missing out!

This place had the potential to be great. The service was pretty slow, and my salad came without the chicken I ordered. Food was kinda boring. I could have made my salad at home in 5 minutes. The patio is pretty big but not that clean. The bar was very slow with getting drinks out. The server was cheery and nice, probably not so much his fault that everything was so slow. My husband did love his grilled cheese.

I had a great first experience here. The service was fantastic, great vibes. The food was delicious and a very large portion, I got the East End Burger and Post fries with homemade honey mustard; I highly recommend it. It’s a great place to relax and have a fantastic meal.

Quality of food and service was good. Charging $17 for a chicken sandwich that only comes with a side of weird gross kettle chips was very off putting. Could be a highly recommended place if they weren’t so pricey for what they offer.

We stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday and loved everything about this place. Great friendly service, really cool atmosphere, and the food was delicious. The post fries are awesome, and our salads were super fresh and tasty. Strongly recommend!
