What I love most is the variety; They always have such a great selection of slices, and sometimes I secretly hope they’re a little low on plain cheese so I can try something new — Bc every time I do, I end up loving it. The Caprese slice is especially delicious (and somehow feels lighter + fresher if you’re trying to get some greens in)
Beyond the food, the staff here is incredible. Everyone is so kind, welcoming, & clearly works really well as a team. On one visit, one of the guys working there noticed me and casually asked what I wanted to drink & brought me a water :’) Such a small gesture, but it really meant a lot & made me feel so taken care of
The space itself is cozy and inviting, and they recently renovated, which makes it feel even more open & comfortable. I love sitting in the back and looking at all the photos, decor, & little mementos while waiting — It gives the place so much character & warmth
Overall, this spot never misses; Amazing pizza, great energy, & genuinely kind people — If you’re craving a solid slice, this place delivers every single time
I have been coming to this place almost every week. Sometimes multiple times a week. It’s my go-to pizza spot. I have introduced 3 people to this place and they are all hooked so it is a tried, tested, and proven best pizza spot in Crown Heights. My #1 go-to is the La-Burrata pie. Thin crust, fresh burrata cheese, fresh basil, and tomato… it all just melts in your mouth. Next, is the Nonna pizza if you’re into Sicilian style. Yum! My tip is to get a full pie instead of slices because A) it will be freshly baked. B) much cheaper that way. Their pasta is also really good. The penne alla pesto and fettuccine alfredo are what I have tried so far. I will update when I try more. This place has history and a reputation as a solid pizza joint. Dave Portnoy, the pizza guru, gave this place an 8.1. But I round that up and give it a solid 9. There’s enough seating area and Tiffany lamps for added aesthetics and a vintage feel. They also have a memory wall with pictures and notes of people who have made memories in this place. And of course, the Godfather references and an Al Pacino portrait
11/10
August 22: just came here again. The staff was very helpful with picking the right pizza. We ordered 3 grandpa pies, OMGZ phenomenal pizza. We ate some cold later, and it almost tasted even better lol
Cant recommend enough. What an amazing spot
Idk about their pizza but their food is not good.
Also wait times are LONG!
