My family and I went to Goofy Goose because we heard there was new management — and we had an amazing experience
Right as we walked in we were greeted so kindly by the staff and she was so helpful in giving us tips on what to order. The food came out quickly and exceeded our expectations.
We ordered the double cheeseburger, chicken katsu, and broccoli beef. I highly recommend Goofy Goose for some great food!!

Unique combo restaurant, burgers and lots of Chinese food options. Food came out quick and good portions. No soda fountain, only cans or bottles. Generally clean and roomy but hard seats, no booths. Could use some updates but not affecting anything.

I’m really bummed. In the past, I’ve enjoyed the most delicious veggie hamburgers from Goofy Goose. Today, I decided to treat myself to lunch so I ordered online and picked up the food. The woman working the counter was friendly and handed me the order. When I got home and unwrapped my burger, I could see that it was pretty well burnt. I was hungry so I decided to go ahead with it but then noticed the patty was different than usual. I think it was a spicy black bean burger. It was awful. I ended up throwing the burger patty away and eating the remainder of the sandwich. The bun was harder than usual but at least the lettuce was fresh and crispy. My vanilla shake was good. I’m not one to leave bad reviews as I understand the implications on small businesses, but I believe they need to do better. This is a historical establishment in Tacoma, known for their burgers. I feel like I just threw my money in the garbage. ):

I would have given this place one less star but the problem and the only problem is parking. It’s just not enough room. But that’s the city and how they plotted it out years and years ago. As for the food they have a huge selection of “Chinese food” and a nice selection of Teriyaki dishes to satisfy your hunger needs. I like the combination Teriyaki dishes usually chicken and, like tonight, I tried the spicy chicken combo it was delicious and we’ll portioned,I could have bought 1 dish and fed my family easily there is only 3 of us. My other half likes the other style combos, she had the Sweet and sour chicken, with fried rice and teriyaki chicken, she loves that combination. My child is a bit well more of a child so she orders from the American menu which is also bigger than most other places serving Teriyaki. There is at least 6 styles of hamburgers, there may be more, I have to spend my time deciding what I want cause with all the options it’s hard for me to choose sometimes. My kid, she is easy so I just have to make sure to order her burger with fries and a vanilla shake. They also have many other options for your thirst to be slackened upon. On a hot day I would go with a shake myself one size that’s it but about 10 flavors to pick from. And they are tasty. This place also reminds me of relatives long past now as my Grandma and my sister used to eat there when ever my grandmother had to go to the doctors and on the way back her and my would stop there to have a bite afterwards. My sister had almost forgotten about this place till I had to meet her for lunch and clhad chose this restaurant to meet with her for something different. She was so happy has it had reminded her about better times in the past which she needed at the time. She even asked me about why I chose it to eat at and I said because it’s the best place for Teriyaki and a shake. That’s when I learned of her and my grandmother’s ritual afters doctor visit. This place is always quiet has most people get to go orders but it’s ALWAYS clean, welcoming, and knows how to fill the void of hunger.

We had the beef bento & pork bento: they were ok. Lunch time at $13-$14 per bento seems a little pricey.

Honestly, we weren’t too sure going into this place, but after arriving, and as soon as we walked into the restaurant, we were greeted with an excellent atmosphere and friendly welcome by the wonderful staff behind the counter and a very easy to read menu!
I had an awesome tasting cheeseburger as it was on the menu, and my wife had a terrific teriyaki BBQ chicken with gyoza and rice. Both were fantastic entrées and exceeded our expectations.
The seating arrangements were easy and accommodating. Plenty of space at the bar space, window seating, and tables for some relaxing vibes for average meal enjoyers.
The pricing was also extremely fair, and there were plenty of options on the menu for food and drinks.
Parking was easily accessible to all and fairly abundant in front of the restaurant.
If I was a local, I’d go here regularly and am sad I can’t.
What a great place.
The Goofy Goose is on our favorites list.
5 stars all around from me.

Okay so craaaazy story- the owners suuuuck
So… I have been coming here off and on since I was in middle school, owners have come and gone it’s been relatively the same. BUT! Today I was going to the lovely coffee shop across the street and goofy parking lot was empty so I plopped my car there thinking maybe if I was hungry I could grab something from them after. Mind you, they have ZERO signs indicating you can’t park there/towing company signs so it’s whatever (or so I thought). When I came back to my car (mind you I am a little lady) there was a man standing next to it. No clue how long he waited for me- super weird thing to do imo. He informed me that I couldn’t park there if I wasn’t a customer. I said okay! Sorry about that I’m on my way out, won’t happen again! With a smile on my face. He didn’t let me leave, instead he kept lecturing me until his wife came out and started freaking out telling me she took my license plate and is going to call the cops if I park there again. Mind you, this whole interaction I was apologetic and smiling trying to gtfo. She steps up to me as if she was going to hit me and got her finger an inch from my face to tell me to stop smiling. Insane behavior! The guy told her to go back inside and I said sorry for the millionth time and tried to leave. Like how are yall going to get mad at me for being there and not let me leave LOL??? Crazy as hell, never gonna go back to eat. At least until there are new owners. Anyway she’s cray but I bet the food is fine haha

Small mom and pop teriyaki and burger spot run by a lovely Korean couple. The teriyaki was good but the burgers are even better. Its a neighborhood joint that serves good eats with a smile.

It was our first time there and will sadly be our last time there. The fish in the fish and chips meal was paper thin, you couldn’t even eat a fish taste at all, and the fries didn’t taste fresh at all. The crab ragoon was really crispy. If it wasn’t a to go order, I really would have sent it back.
