This is my kind of roadhouse tavern! Worn carpeting, old (but well-maintained) furniture, and staff with a heart of gold. I had my first “slopper” here, and enjoyed every bit of the experience. It’s so hard nowadays to find a tavern where I feel like an appreciated guest, surrounded by regular people having a good time. I will be back here again.

I ordered the small nachos, I’m glad I did. I couldn’t even finish them. Service was slow on a Saturday because there was only one waitress and one chef. We were told of the wait and enjoyed some cold refreshments while we waited. It was nice to just wait and not be in a hurry. My guy got a burger and onion rings, he said it was tasty. We will definitely stop in again

We had an excellent time. The staff are friendly and took great care of us. The enchiladas were traditional and tasty, L. had a slopper and was thought it worthy of being a ‘Slopper Stop’ beer selection was good, but not a wide range of choices on tap. As a bonus, it was Karaoke night, some very good performers.

Came through town on our way home to Denver from Santa Fe and stopped at Riverside for a slopper. Our bartender was so kind and the sloppers were PERFECT! Also loved the patio space. Absolutely recommend—we’ll be back!
