The inside of the restaurant has many cute and funny signs that helped pass the time.
Our waitress was nice but a little absent; she took our orders, delivered the food, and then brought us the check. No mid-meal check-ins and only one drink refill.
We both got the bacon cheddar burger, which tasted fine but seemed like something they get delivered from a restaurant supply rather than burgers made in- house.
The fries also seemed like something they had frozen and just heated up to order.
The “sweet potato casserole” is just mashed sweet potatoes. Nothing else. Not even seasonings.
The ribs were a complete disappointment. A half rack of ribs was no bigger than the length of a spoon. It tasted like they had been freezerburnt, cooked plain, then sauced and broiled. The BBQ glaze on the top tasted good but the meat tasted bland and old. After trying one rib we couldn’t eat them.
When the waitress came back at the end of the meal and we told her the ribs were not good, she did not seem surprised.
I also find the “3.5% cash discount reflected in the menu prices” to be very underhanded. We only knew about it because I happened to see the worn out and curled up piece of paper they taped hear the hostess podium. No one told us about it, there are no other signs in the dining area, nor mention of it on the menus. Even when we received the bill there was no mention of it on the paper or by our waitress. It is added in to the “Food Tax” item on the bill which totaled 7% of our meal price.
Since they have chosen to deviate from normal restaurant pricing practices, I feel it is there responsibility to make sure every customer is made aware of. Instead I feel they count on people just paying without noticing.
As we have never been to a Woody’s Bar-B-Que before, I do not know if it was just this location that was lacking or if it reflects the whole chain, but we will not be making any effort to find out.

Awesome restaurant tucked away from the main drag. The atmosphere, service, and food were top notch! I enjoyed the pork platter, I’m not fond of ribs, so I opted for 2 smoked sausage halves. We had an order of the loaded chili cheese fries with beef brisket as the meat choice – definitely give them a try, very flavorful!

The worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Sweet potato was burnt. Kids cheeseburger was burnt (twice). Wrap was also burnt, but yet soggy on the inside. Fries were cold. There was no manager on site to speak to. I was told the manager would call me within 2 hours. 5 hours later, no phone call.
The dining area is infested with flies. We had 7+ flies hovering around us for the entire time. They often landed on our food, the condiments and our drinks. It was a shame to have to pay for food that wasn’t fit to eat in an environment plagued with flies. I regret ever setting foot in their front door.
I read the other negative reviews before I went in but wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. The 3 star reviews were being generous. They are >1 star and frankly need to be shut down by the health department asap. I will be filing a report with them tomorrow.

Main reasons for only 3 stars is that they were out of numerous menu items (including a favorite-brisket) and because two different types of pork that we were served were seriously dried out. The Cobb salad was tasty and the bread pudding was very good. The portions are a good size – not enough for leftovers, but definitely won’t leave hungry. Prices seem just right.

For starters, if you use their coupon for anything, make sure you check the bill. We used their coupon for the baby back rib dinner for two. When the bill came, it was regular price, and no, they were not busy. It was us and one other couple. Honest mistake? Maybe, just check. On to the food.
The onion rings were great. The baby back ribs were pull off the bone good. The fries and okra were undoubtedly supplied by Sysco, so I don’t know why there’s an up charge to premium side for the okra. Also, this is the south and this is supposed to be a BBQ joint. So somebody explain to me why you’d take the collards off the menu? And who only toasts toast on one side? Also, the mac-n-cheese dry. On the plus side, they do have draft beer; if bud, but light and dingaling is your thing.

Food was decent but there was a piece of plastic in salad. Besides that all was well. I do like that atmosphere here as it was very comforting. As you enter you are greeted by the great aroma. I’d love to give this place a 5 star review but there was plastic in the salad.

Every single time we eat at this restaurant or get something to go their portions are so small! If we didn’t love the meat we wouldn’t go back believe me! We just bought 2 of the 3 meat salads to go and asked for extra dressing. These are supposedly big salads and you only get one little bitty cup of dressing to go on it. It is supposed to come with a boiled egg and croutons which were not there at all and the meat was probably a 1/2 a cup of meat on top of the salad! The Box is packed with iceberg lettuce but that is it! It is severely overpriced for what you get! No cutlery, no napkins. We are done with this place!

The coleslaw and toast were okay. The pulled pork tasted like it came out of a vacuum packed bag from a food supplier. The beans obviously came straight from a can. The okra and tomatoes were made from canned ingredients warmed up by someone who has no idea what they should taste like. This is what you would get if a New Yorker moved south and decided to open a barbecue joint.
