Happy to come back here on a return trip to St. Pete after missing a reservation the first time and wondering what that spot was that we peeked into. Slim Charmer is small, it’s dark, and it’s special. Ambience is great – dark all except your table – bright for menus and foods (and pictures). The menu is perfect. Interesting, unique, with great design and focused on starters and small plates with just two entrees — your cheap, lazy option…and a steak. Because what else would you want for your main if you’re after one? We went with a bunch of small plates and loved a few and liked the rest. The toasts – mushroom toast was fantastic. Every bite perfect and savory and umami balanced by the funk of the cambozola, a new cheese for us. The crab toast was OK and chilled but mostly one note. The steak tartare was good but I prefer a little more mustard and a little chunkier cut on the tartare itself. This one was pretty creamy. The super thin toast was perfect for it, however. The chips and speck ham were good, but we were getting full at this point and just didn’t need them. You could honestly get these and a cocktail and be good to go. We got the muffuletta for main (didn’t eat til the next day, fantastic)…but…the squash. Oh man, the squash. Absolutely perfect. Perfect texture, perfect ingredients, perfect bite x 20. Soft squash with a bite, sheep’s milk base, crisped sage, truffle, pomegranate. Along with the mushroom toast, absolute best thing we’ve eaten at a restaurant in awhile. Tear-inducingly perfect. We got talked into dessert and the tart/torte had a surprise caramel layer.

The DRINKS: Luv Sic is how I feel. More persimmon in everything. More cocktail menus could do with an appreciation of interesting and herbal aperitifs and digestifs.

This place reminded us of some of our favorites – Vern’s in Charleston because of the ambience and the tight menu. Ticonderoga Club in Atlanta because of the focused and unique drink menu and pretty casual atmosphere. Our server was awesome, the menu is thoughtfully, graphically, and categorically casual and well-designed. It’s on our list, and I’m so glad we came for our first dinner of 2026.

Atmosphere was a nice dark setting. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were amazing and very attentive. Food was well crafted and good portions for the price ( spicy dill martini was 20/10)

First of all… if you’re wanting food that is unique, cocktails that have depth and service from the host, server, bar backs and bartenders that doesn’t disappoint you should check this place out.

It’s as if Death & Co (NYC), The Proprietors Bar & Table (Nantucket), and Rooster and the Till (Tampa) had a baby and Slim Charmer was born. 10 on 10

Food was great! Amazing service! Steak came out a bit too rare for us, but they fixed it quickly and not a bit was left! Highly recommend, but on the pricier side!

I’m obsessed with this place!!! New hidden gem in St. Pete that has that NYC vibe to it. Incredible cocktails and small plates. I can’t wait to go back

Came in for the Wednesday “happy meal” deal – a martini and French fries for $12

I don’t drink alcohol, but Sydney made me a delicious NA option so I could still enjoy the deal.

They do offer a few NA martinis on the menu, but this one was an off-menu creation and it was excellent. I really appreciate when there are thoughtful non-alcoholic options at a cocktail bar!

We also ordered the steak tartare, which was fresh, flavorful, and a generous portion – plenty for two people, and honestly would work well for three.

I made a reservation two weeks in advance (the restaurant is cozy and very popular), and I’d recommend doing the same. Service was friendly, attentive, and spot-on the entire time.

Overall, a great spot for cocktails, small plates, and excellent service. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu!

Slim Charmer is a standout gem. The Quintessential—a mix of French oak tequila, quince, vermouth, and lactic snow—is unforgettable. Small plates like chorizo-sided bacon-wrapped dates dazzle. Chris and Jose were exceptional listeners, crafting perfect choices for my gluten-free needs and my picky foodie partner. Refined, warm, and deliciously creative.

Nice spot. Small and intimate with craft cocktails, small plates and mains. 1 hour 45 minute table time which good to know. Had Uncut Gems and Bits of Paradise.

Got seated at the bar and enjoyed 3 cocktails while waiting for our table next door. Great atmosphere, love the vibe! Unfortunately, all 3 drinks were premade. I watched the bartender basically chill and garnish the drinks, which robbed me of the personalized, sophisticated experience. We ordered the 50/50, love sic & duckworth. We had higher expectations.

Amazing dinner and wonderful service. Ordered the wagyu steak which comes with a Cesar salad, because I’m pregnant I wouldn’t have been able to enjoy it, but they made me an additional side salad with a different dressing which was so sweet and above and beyond.
