Just sharing my experience, staff fast friendly!
Mashed potatoes okay, beans good. Corn fritters used to be better they just were not up to par still ate em.
And the chicken, um ahhh! It had no flavor. No seasoning at all. Just cause its not spicy chicken doesn’t mean it shouldn’t have seasoning.
I feel like his batch might have been a mistake and they forgot to add anything to the batter. If not thats sad. I tried every piece of chicken to see if it was just me . But they taste like nothing. I havnt been here in a while. But im so upset, spent all the money for that food for the chicken to not great

We always get our lightly fried Brown’s Chicken versus the Popeye’s Chicken and KFC here. It really is your preference of of type of fry batter and chicken. Don’t have any complaints for Oaklawn location. Everyone is friendly and professional and the food as in the chicken and mashed potatoes and biscuits are on point.

Stopped in during lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. Ordered 1/4 fried mushrooms and a 3 piece meal with white meat. The girl at the drive-thru window was professional and cordial. Both the mushrooms and chicken were crunchy but not dry on the inside. I was a bit disappointed that I didn’t get a ranch dipping sauce for the mushrooms but honestly, I didn’t even need it because they were good without it.

First time trying this place it was decent but they did forget my muffin biscuit and my aunt gave me hers instead because we were coming from out of town and heard all the hype about this place it was overall okay. The cashier could be a bit more upbeat and happy to see customers but nowadays these restaurants are tiring and sad so I prefer to just cook at home much safer anyway

It was amazing I’m visiting for work so I’ve been trying different things that I don’t have back at home and this is probably the best chicken I’ve had so far!! Amazing chicken, gizzard, and sauce selection. For those of you giving a low rating you need to update it or something because I’d give them another chance. They looked like they had plenty of staff behind the counter and had a drive through window running on top of the front door lobby. Great clean atmosphere with awesome food what could I ask for?

Been using this location for years, catering and also family meals. June 5, 2025, around 5 PM, prime dinner time, I ordered my usual: eight pieces of chicken, three large sides, 1 lb of mushrooms, and 1 lb of livers. This time it came to $81.55 (includes credit card fee). Mushrooms were the only item in the order that were properly prepared, golden brown. Some chicken pieces were missing large amounts of breading, and the exposed meat, which had no skin on it, was extremely overcooked. The livers were missing the majority of breading as if they were double-fried, although they were not overly dry. The tangy cole slaw had large strands of cabbage that were very soggy and lacked the usual crunch. The chunky cabbage pieces from before were gone. Am glad that it was not my idea to have chicken on this Monday but the fact of the matter is that the quality was no where near what was expected. This has been my go to location for years and perhaps it was just a bad day, but since it took 20 minutes, in heavy end of day traffic to get home from this location, it was not worth my time to go back and request a refund.
