Cute cozy restaurant with fresh flowers on the tables, that serves amazing food! I absolutely love the ginger in the garden and the woon sen salad. Friendly and attentive staff. I love that the heat level is adjusted to your personal heat level preference from 0 to 5. I usually get a 2 and the amount of heat is perfect. This is my new favorite restaurant.
My husband and I have died in and have had take out. The food is wonderful every time.

If you’re craving Thai food, Nan’s Thai will do—but that’s giving it generous credit. The food is decent, but it definitely comes with attitude. Don’t expect a warm welcome or great service—there were no smiles to be found.

Be prepared to pay extra too: $4.20 for a small serving of rice to go with your takeout felt steep. Overall, it’s not the best Thai around, but it is better than grocery shopping, cooking, and cleaning up at home.

I cannot get enough of Nans, the service is AMAZING, all of the staff are very attentive and friendly, atmosphere is clean and great, food? OH MAN I could write 10000000000 words, I am known for the Chicken Drunken Noodle Thai Hot and it is MY FAVORITE. I literally go atleast once a week and it is just as amazing every time. I don’t have a picture of the pork crispy spring rolls but those are AMAZING as well. My husband typically gets Pad Thai and has never had a complaint. …. Love this place FOREVER, sincerely your Thai hot chicken drunken noodle lady ❤️

The green curry was amazing! The service was so good. I ordered a red curry to go for my husband while I had the green curry at the restaurant. I realized it may be too spicy so I asked to adjust it. They had already prepared it by the time I asked but she was so kind to change it anyways. They were very sweet to our family! We will definitely be back!

This is my first time here, I saw the rave reviews online. I hope it’s as good as everyone seems to think. Well In my opinion it really is that good, I’m right there with five stars. I tried the Panang Curry w Chicken and I think it’s as good as any restaurant I’ve been to. I lived in Thailand for two years and this Panang is right there with the best I’ve had. I will be back to try more of their dishes here. I also tried the pumpkin custard which was also excellent.

I was brought here under the “If you think you can handle spicy I will give you spicy” type deal. We went in and ordered the hottest hottest thing they could make. While I was VERY disappointed in the heat level, that is a personal problem on my end. The food was absolutely amazing. I was surprised how much I enjoyed everything we had gotten. The sampler was incredible and so was the Pad Thai. Also, order the Thai tea when you go it was very good! I will definitely be revisiting this location!

I’ve had Nan’s Thai Noodle many times in the past and it’s always been great, but I’ve gone twice recently after several years and it’s still just as amazing. The noodle dishes are all fantastic, but the curry is what I had most recently, specifically the Masaman Curry, and it blew me away. I had it’s at the 3rd level of spice and figured I could ramp it up so I tried it at a 4 and it was perfect. The only problem that I thought I would have is that the plate of rice that comes with it could be bigger, but each of times I got it, by the end of the meal, I’m so stuffed, I almost regret eating as much as I did if it wasn’t so delicious.
I had meant to write a review similar to this the last time I visited but I had forgotten. Truthfully, the only reason I remembered to write it THIS time is because an elderly lady was there today and sent back food TWICE for being too hot. I’d normally say to use that as a gauge of the heat levels, but she was ordering the spice on the low end and I wouldn’t be surprised if she sent the complimentary fruit back for having too much of a kick.

Friday we went to Nan’s Thai Noodle at 1900 Tamiami Trl #112, Port Charlotte located in the Murdock Carrousel Shopping Center. It was not crowded when we went. Looking around we saw that the space was clean and bright. We were greeted as we came in and led to a table by our server. She left the menus for us to look at while she went for the sodas we also wanted.
My wife ordered the Chicken with Cashew Nut, which she had before. I decided to have something I had not tried before, the Mixed Vegetables with Chicken. While we waited for the food we had a chance to look around at the décor. It is tastefully decorated in an Asian style. It felt appropriate and was not over done at all.
Our food arrived in about 15 minutes and it was delicious! Not only was it fresh and hot, but the heat was exactly what I expected and well done. There was more than enough food. I should have probably brought some home, but it was so good, both my wife and I finished our plates.
All in all it was a GREAT experience again. We certainly will be back as Nan’s Thai Noodle remains one of our favorite places to dine. If you have not gone there, please do. You will not be disappointed.

Another Update:
Went to Nan’s Thai Noodle at 1900 Tamiami Trl #112, Port Charlotte, again on 12/13/2024 to try some new dishes. We were promptly greeted and seated. We ordered hot tea to start us off. My wife ordered the cashew chicken, no spice. I ordered the Tom Yum with shrimp and the Papaya Salad. I ordered both “Thai Hot”. While we waited, I looked around and admired the décor. The place was bright and clean and certainly reminded everyone that this place was Thai. We did not have to wait long for our food as it came in a few minutes.
My wife really enjoyed her Cashew Chicken with no spice. She said that she feels comfortable enough next time to start ordering other things on the menu. She trusts when she says no spice, that the chef will indeed not add any spice. Both my Tom Yum with shrimp and my Papaya Salad were delicious! The wait person certainly did not disappoint because when I said “Thai Hot” that is what it was! Made me sweat, but I was so appreciative that it did. So many other places when you order it HOT, they are NOT. I really like it when I order it HOT that it comes HOT! Both my wife and I give Nan’s Thai Noodle two thumbs up! If you want good Thai Food, please consider this place. It is absolutely AWESOME and will not disappoint you!

What a disappointment. The cook should be ashamed. The “Crispy Duck Salad” I ordered for take out was two handful of yellow leftover lettuce with some scraps of tomatoes and carrots. There were exactly 4 pieces of skinny, super dry and tough duck. The rice was so tasteless, I wouldn’t have known it was rice if it hadn’t looked like it. All for $20? I am so mad, I thought about returning and asking for my money back.
