To start with they told us they did not have a dinner meal with orange chicken that we would have to order the meal for 2 to get the orange chicken. I ordered the general chicken and my wife and daughter got the orange chicken for 2. She told us it was the same but everything was doubled. Turns out it was not. The meal for 2 comes with 1 small rice, 1 egg roll and 2 wontons, 2 bowls of soup same as the dinner meal just double. We were shorted 1 bowl of soup and had to go back inside. When we got home they had given us the for 2 meal with general chicken and the dinner meal with orange chicken. The only real difference I could see was the general chicken had 1 pepper ️ in it but it was not spicy at all. It had no real flavor, both had a hint of orange but the flavor was not consistent. The wontons were not wontons, at least they were just fried bread with no filling. The best part of the whole meal was the egg roll and the fortune cookie, the rest of the food got thrown in the trash. I am really disappointed we were really looking forward to good Chinese food.

Stopped in here while staying the night on Randolph. It seems most restaurants were closed or closing around 8pm so this was our choice.
It’s about a mile or so from the main gate. It’s a small place with 10 tables, seen many to go orders though. Our son enjoyed the kids sweet and sour chicken, sauce was flavorful. Wife had the orange chicken but wasn’t too impressed, said a little too soggy but flavored well. I had the broccoli beef dinner with fried rice, egg roll, fried pork and egg drop soup. The egg drop was delicious and not watery. The broccoli beef was skeptical due to not having the dark brown bean sauce to its color but it was still good with fresh broccoli and onions. Overall it was 3.5 on food, not bad.

I started going to China Moon in 1995 but have not gone here for 20 years, at least. Any Chinese food I’ve had is always compared to them to see the quality of food.
I did get to go last night and had chicken with mushrooms. Oh my goodness! It was so delicious.
The only tiny problem I have at all is the (new word here) spill-ability of the main dish out of the entree. Well done, as always China Moon. I’ll be back soon.

Food was great I got the House Noodle Soup with shrimp and chicken, the broth was amazing. I added hot oil and soy sauce to taste, if you don’t like green onions tell them before hand. My hubby got lemon chicken he liked it.

Got a good bit of food for the lunch special at $10. My only disappointment was the rangoons were either cooked so much the cream cheese vaporized or it came out during cooking. Usually I get the sweet and sour pork as my side and maybe next time I’ll go back to that. The rice and chicken and soup were just great though.

This was my first time ever trying this restaurant and I had a few expectations and one of them was definitely to receive my beef and broccoli dinner with an excellent result.
It was really bad. And I am not joking. The moment I opened the tray I knew this was not the kind of beef and broccoli that I usually eat from ANY Chinese restaurant.
There’s usually a dark saucy kind of flavor and texture to the meat and vegetable.
This had nothing, no flavor, not even seasoning. It was the most blandest dish I have ever had. the sauce was extremely watery and it didn’t even stick even if you add the soy sauce. So I said hmmm let me just try the broccoli. NOPE!
Okay I’ll try the beef.
It was so tasteless that I had to actually make my own beef and broccoli sauce. Yes. After buying a meal at the restaurant I had to MAKE THE SAUCE from scratch to be able to eat what I paid for.
This is a before and after picture because I really didn’t understand what Chinese restaurant doesn’t make their food this way?
I see this place has great potential and people DO order and eat at this place but I’m sure the beef and broccoli is not a best seller. If you do want it to be a best seller or at least good to eat, you need to add seasoning and sauce to the meal China moon. Watery soy sauce WILL NOT WORK. You need water, oyster sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger and corn starch with white vinegar and whatever else you want to give it that traditional flavor. Because what I received was not good at all and I’m happy it was so late and I had my kids because if I weren’t exhausted I would have taken that plate back to your kitchen.

The food was great! I purchased two family dinners. The shrimp in lobster sauce and the beef and broccoli. Please keep in mind that the pictures shown already have one HEFTY serving taken from each plate. These family dinners also came with a choice of two egg rolls or an order of rangoons. I also ordered a small egg drop and small hot and sour soup. Both also delicious. It was all about $35.00.

Been going here for many years, usually everything always really good. Today there was hardly anyone in there I ordered sweet sour chicken lunch special with an order of Rangoon’s. I wasted 7.95 for burnt wontons guessing cream cheese melted out what was left was in lil powder pieces.. the worst I have ever seen come out of that restaurant.. really sad food quality going down hill. The chicken was over cooked enough to make it rubbery. I don’t think I’ll be going there anymore so sad..

I placed an order through Favor. The driver calls me to tell me they don’t have a specific appetizer they went with the meal. We change it. All is well. He then tells me it is a 20-25 min wait. I was okay with that since he did arrive at China Moon like 3 minutes after I placed the order. He must’ve been really close there. Well, about 40 min later after I still see no action through the app, I get a notification saying he is no longer available to pick the food up. Now here is where the bad rating comes for China moon. I called the restaurant to find out what happened. A woman (with an attitude) answers the phone. I tell her what happened. She then tells me that it’s not her fault. She will just get rid of the food. I told her I already paid for it through the favor app and I want my food. She then raises her voice and says “look, you come get it or it goes away” she hangs up. I called back and tell her they there is a new driver from favor coming to get it. She told me, it’s sitting on the shelf, you do what ever you need to do, Man”. And hangs up again. Extremely rude and bad customer service. I will NEVER order from them again. I was a loyal customer to them because I liked their food. Never again.
