If you’re looking for a great place to grab a bite to eat with friendly people and amazing views, then The Sucker Shack is where it’s at!! Located just off Hwy 18 on the IA/WI border in Marquette, and set on the banks of the Mighty Mississippi River, this truly is a hidden gem! We were first greeted by the sweetest pup when walking down the ramp to the dock it’s nestled on (whom we were later introduced to as Haylie or Hay Dog).
Jeremy and Nikki were so friendly and we enjoyed chatting with them (and the river traffic) on the gas shack dock while we ate our lunch and Jeremy topped off the boaters that pulled in. And then the food… OMG!!! Our burgers were cooked to perfection and had all the fixins, the fries were spot on and oh so fresh tasting! The portions were WAY bigger than our tummies, lol! Thank goodness for Haylie, who helped us finish
I can’t wait to go back and visit again, and look forward to scheduling a trip on the river with Maiden Voyage Tours owners, Debra (who we also met and got to chat with) and Robert! Thanks for such an awesome Friday afternoon experience! You’ve got a customer for life now!

Great location to stop and get something to eat. We stop here while boating on the river (tie off south of gas pumps) or driving through Marquette (park in parking lot and walk out on the dock). It’s a hidden gem, and food is always delicious. Awesome place to eat and watch the river traffic go by.
