I’m moving all of my reviews from Yelp to Google. This was originally written in 2021. I would be willing to bet I’ve been back at least 100 times since.
Really solid choice for pizza in the north woods! We decided to carry out on a Sunday after seeing how slammed they were when we drove past on Saturday night.
First pizza was their taco offering. It’s a good pizza and well-executed but would have benefited greatly from a to-go container of sour cream and maybe some other condiments (hot sauce and guacamole are my top recommendations) being included with the order.
Second pizza was their Cub: sausage, onion, green pepper. I preferred this pie to the taco which surprised me as I usually love a taco pizza. Their sausage is no slouch! Solid, hand-formed pieces of bulk sausage are visible sticking out of the generous blanket of cheese while slices of onion and green pepper dot the pie. The sauce was a bit more flavorful than a lot of pizza sauce and I appreciated that detail. This pizza brought back strong memories of eating tavern-style pizza in Chicago as a kid. I really, really liked this pizza.
Can’t wait to try their Smoky Bear pizza next time…

We had a GREAT time here and the food was delicious!! Ten of us came here on a busy Saturday night but were seated right away. So impressed with the service and how quickly everything came out. We ordered old fashions and 3 large pizzas. Our absolute favorite was the Fall harvest pizza. My mouth is still watering thinking about it!
Given the great food, fast & friendly service, and delicious cocktails…. we will absolutely be back!

Disclaimer I’m writing this review on there frozen pizza cause it’s awesome. So since I don’t make it Birchwood and can’t dine in this fine establishment that they make there pizzaz available in certain location gas stations and such. So here is my review: my husband went into stump lake liquid in Rice lake,wi asked him to pick out a pizza and picked out one of your guys pizza. Got home made it all I have to tell you it was amazing and that cheese pull from the pizza was awesome and you don’t get that from other frozen pizzas. I am not really a thin crust person but your thin crust was crispy and crunchy and the toppings were amazing. Definitely the best frozen pizza I have in forever and definitely will be buying always cause your frozen pizza is the best in opinion. Keep up the good work and maybe you can get a thick crust frozen pizza out some time in the near future.

Stopped in while I was in town, sat at the bar. Staff was over the top nice and accommodating. Forget the name, but had the hot honey pizza…so good!! Love the crispy crust and flavors. Wish I lived closer, I’d be there much more!!

We visited in August 2023. Greta atmosphere and drinks. The cheese bread, mozzarella sticks, and pizzas were really great! They have limited hours so make sure you check that. Service was a bit slow likely due to staffing shortages, like everywhere else. Lots of parking in lot out front. Indoor and patio seating. We would visit again if we come back to that area.

My son said the cheeseburger was the best he ever had. My daughter said the same about the cubs spaghetti. I very much enjoyed the wing sauces and garlic bread. My wife accidentally ordered the wrong this and although excited to try the bear meat penne she did get, wasnt impressed.

Ordered pizzas to go, to feed a team. Some miscommunication with the pick up but staff quickly got to work and corrected the mistake. Their accountability and service was fantastic. The pizzas were a hit with the team. Thanks for working with us!

Delicious varieties of thin crust pizza! We tried the garlic chicken..yum!! Available frozen at some local grocers like “Hills'” in Haugen. Great service tonight, despite the crowd. Highly recommend
