I really wanted some chicken last night after a long day at work. Jaliscos was packed next door and I didn’t feel like dealing with the crowd. The Arizona bowl caught my eye on the menu. It was my first time trying the place. Even tho it was after dark, I did like the outdoor seating and seeing some families that appeared to be regulars at the picnic tables. When my bowl came out, it was definitely a reasonable serving size. I kept digging and digging for the chicken, but there was none. There was broccoli and cauliflower tho. The yellow rice, pinto beans, Pico, guac, cheddar and tortilla strips were as they should, but it felt like it was just haphazardly thrown together. Had my server returned I would have said something. Very disappointing experience for a first time, and I doubt I will return.

First time visiting this restaurant. I’d heard good things so I decided to try it. I got ordered “to go”. I sat down at a table, put the number vin viewing range and waited. Saw people come, in sit down, get their food. Saw other people come in place to go orders,Get their food. I was still standing there. The two young ladies who were taking orders saw me standing, waiting, and never asked me anything. Never went to check on my order. I finally stopped the lady who was coming from the back giving people their food and asked her if she could check on my order and she immediately reappeared with my food. The food was good but I am so customer service focused that I probably won’t go back because I don’t see the need to get disappointed again.

First time here with my husband and we really liked it! I loved that they have Peruvian food on the menu. The arroz con pollo and the roasted chicken were my favorites. Everything was delicious. I’d definitely come back to try more Peruvian dishes.

The food was insanely delicious, I ordered a whole chicken with fried yuca, yellow rice and black beans. The chicken was well seasoned with flavor, the rice was cooked wonderfully, the fried yuca was fried perfectly and the sauce that came with it was fantastic, and the black beans was so FLAVORFUL!!!

I feel like such a fool for waiting so long to try this place out! Wow! I am so excited that I can add this to my list of Gainesville food gems. We tried the quarter chicken, steak, white rice, yellow rice, corn, and tortillas and everything was incredible. For me, this is the best quick & healthy food option I have found so far in Gainesville. So clean, friendly staff, cutesy outdoor seating. Loveeeeee

I ordered the half chicken with yellow rice, maduros, and extra sauce. As I ordered, a manager was standing by a new employee who was taking my order. I was asked if I had a preference for white vs. dark meat. I said I would like both white and dark. After I had paid and sat down, I was called back up because they apparently charge for extra sauce. It seemed like something to just let go of at that point, but okay… I see why now though, as they charged me 2 dollars for extra sauce!! There was no warning or mention beforehand it would cost extra at all, much less 2 dollars.
They only gave 3 small crunchy maduros, all of which were burnt to a crisp. Some bites all I could taste was pure char. The yellow rice tasted fine but was a rather small portion size. Finally, for the chicken, they had given me 2 white meat pieces and had up charged me without realizing. I called them over before I had touched the chicken at all to explain I had ordered white and dark. I didn’t even care about the extra charge, I just wanted some dark meat. I wasn’t offered any sort of reconciliation however, and the manager just repeatedly kept saying I ordered double white. He then tried to explain when you cut a chicken in half vertically vs. horizontally you get different cuts of meat… I of course understand how cutting chicken works, but no one orders by saying “half vertical” or “half horizontal” chicken. It’s impossible I had ordered that way. It made no sense and I was very clear I wanted white and dark meat when ordering. I eventually gave up explaining as it was clear the manager was going to make any attempts to rectify the situation and wanted to blame me for their mistake. I ate my dry white chicken that could only be eaten if you pay extra for more sauce, and left. Will not be back.

Delicious! Hands down the best chicken taco salad I’ve ever eaten. The chicken was incredible and the salad was the perfect amount for dinner. Will eat here again!

Very bad services. A few months ago, our rice we got was spoiled rice. They did change our rice. It was smelly and tasted weird. I didn’t write a review because I consider mistakes can be made. But, today, I order my food abd a large cup of orchata and I ordered with not ice. The guys said ” The cups are already pre measured when you order with not ice”.. and gave me way less almost equivalent to a small cup. It’s ridiculous.

I come here quite often the food isn’t over the top nor is it bad that’s why I settled for a 3 how ever it quickly has become my favorite restaurant in gainesville due to the lack of identity of the restaurants in gainesville there’s isn’t a lot of authentic places here mainly mainstream restaurants you can go any where and see, this place felt more unique and authentic then any other. The service is good and the atmosphere is to I belive the food could be better but its still very good.
