Amazing place. The staff was very friendly and attended us well. The restaurant was very clean and the whole environment was pleasant and enjoyable. There was a good variety of food to choose from and honestly was very delicious. I love horchata and they did not disappoint, it was so good. The food was made fast and had great flavor, the meat the sauce, the cheese, everything was delicious. 10/10

Decided to try this place for the first time, honestly the birria quesadilla is heavy and DRY (definitely need the sauce). For the lack of meat they put in it and how thick the CORN tortilla is (for a quesadilla) and the 1lb of cheese is not worth $15 ( more like $10 if it was cooked right) I love to support small businesses and leave great reviews when they are deserving but Im disappointed. I also got the chicken burrito and that too requires a sauce and beverage in close proximity.

So we have been going here for the last couple of months. Probably started around October. Food was delicious, no issues for a few months. For the last month, I dont know if they got a new chef or cook, but the food has drastically fell off a cliff in terms of flavor. Our most recent experience, we ordered Birria and a Torta. We ordered the Birria with consome. The Birria was very dry and my wife noticed they didnt pack and consome. I went back inside to get the consome and the chef exchanged looks with the cashier as if it was like he was trying to hide the consome. I still got it, but when we went home, the consome was awful. It was glorified chicken stock. The flavor nonexistent and overall horrible. Now it made a lot more sense why they purposely didnt give it and instead of saying anything, they just tried to hide it and then AGAIN didnt say anything when I asked for it. He just smiled as if he got caught and then didnt say anything further. The torta my wife got, she said it was really lacking any sort of flavor. The quality has dropped drastically and that was the 2nd time as the first time was only two weeks prior and thats when we first noticed the drop off. We probably wont be coming back until that chef is gone and the quality is back to where it was because that was just really bad.
Edit: This was 2 days before this review was made, but I’m 95% certain it was the 17th. The time this occured was at night around 6-7pm

I don’t eat Mexican food that much, but I tried this place and it is amazing! Their food is really good. They give a good amount of food for a reasonable price. I would recommend this place!

Delicious, QUALITY, FRESH Mexican food! This is the next hot spot in Mt. Pocono for good food! Alice and Axel were super helpful, friendly, kind and patient helping my friend and I navigate the menu. We were super happy with our flavorful nachos, tacos and arroz con pollo! I’m happy they gave GF options with their corn tortillas! Their sodas and juice selection are good, and their homemade horchata drink is delicious if you like cinnamon sugar! Restaurant is decorated colorfully and very clean, enjoyed dining in. They told us they opened here after success with their popular food trucks in New York. I’m glad they decided to open a location here in Mt Pocono! We will be back and recommend! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience! 🙂

I definitely don’t recommend it. To start we ordered a tamal that is always served hot steamed, but they gave us this one reheated and all ugly. Although the girl was very friendly, the food is not good.

Very clean and friendly establishment. Very fresh, delicious and great portions. The only thing it is quite cold to sit and eat inside (that is the only reason why I said 4 stars for atmosphere. But we braved the cold shivers and finished our entire meals. Chips and Guac were on point. Horchata and Jamaica juice were top notch!! Tostadas, Tacos, Quesadillas all authentic flavors! We will be back for more.

Absolutely incredible birria tacos…10/10!
If you’re anywhere near Mt. Pocono, you have to try Axath’s Café & Mexican Grill. Their birria tacos are truly next-level, perfectly crispy on the outside, packed with tender, flavorful meat, and that rich consommé just ties it all together. You can tell this is authentic Mexican food made with real passion. It’s honestly some of the best birria l’ve ever had, easily worth the drive!
Support local and treat yourself, this spot is a gem in the Poconos!

We had the quesabirria tacos on a recent visit to the Poconos and honestly, it was one of my favorite meals there. Very tender beef and super flavorful consomé to dip them in.
