For 20 years now I’ve been getting my Asian food from Golden House. They are consistently good. My family loves their almond chicken. We usually get the sauce on the side and top it at home. Their egg rolls are tasty. I think one reason that they are so consistently good is because the owner seems to be working almost every time I order food. He seems to really care about the quality of the food. Anyways, please keep up the good work Golden House. I love my Sunday tradition of eating your food while watching the Lions. Pictured in this review is the Spicy Chicken and 2 orders of Almond Chicken (before we added the sauce). That’s a lot of good food for $36!

The general chicken was remarkable! We tried other places but have not find our favorite yet until we eat here. The staffs were friendly and my husband got the Almond chicken and he was amazed so we are definitely coming back. The kids were definitely satisfied too, they ate all the crab Rangoon!

You can tell this place prices itself on homemade cuisine. The dumplings are like a cross between a potsticker & a traditional Chinese dumpling. They were made from homemade dough, & instead of being completely steamed, they were slightly pan-fried as well. The crab rangoons were more filling than wonton which is exactly how it should be. The shipping sauce for both were extremely flavorful. My friend had their ramen & it looked delicious. Can’t wait to go again!

This is my new go-to Chinese place! I’ve sampled several of the chicken dishes so far and the chicken they use is so high quality, juicy and delicious. I definitely look forward to trying more pork and beef options.
The fried dumplings dipped in the plum(?) sauce are a perfect pairing. Sweet and salty and crispy with the doughy dumpling.
The bacon crab rangoons are cheesy and a delightful additional spin on a classic.
I know they offer a lot of Thai, Japanese, and Asian options that again, I look forward to trying out.

10/10. We dined in tonight. Lovely owners. Brother and Sister. Couldn’t have been nicer or friendlier. Food was so delicious. We enjoyed crab rangoons, soup, and egg roll -all were hot, crispy and tasty! Soup was served with crispy fried wontons too. Our main courses were chicken egg foo young and almond boneless chicken. The portions were extremely large and could easily feed two-three people each! I am not joking! Prices are very reasonable. Our bill was only $40. Go there….you will not be disappointed!! Crab rangoons were great. I ordered Mongolian chicken and was very pleased.
As an FYI, The ‘order online’ menu does not quite match the real menu. For example, I ordered a #40, and on the ‘order online through doordash’ menu it says it has baby corns, but on the Paper menu or online menu baby corn is not part of the dish. I was sad to not have baby corn but glad that I found it was not forgotten, but rather a menu discrepancy. Also, the Mongolian Chicken was not listed on the ‘online order’ menu as a Hot and Spicy category, but it is on the real version. Honestly I probably would not had ordered that dish if I had seen it listed as ‘hot’ as it shows on the real version, but I really enjoyed it and glad I ordered it.

Tried Golden House for the first time to complete the Grand River dueling duo of Chinese restaurants.
The entrees were pretty good (we got sweet and sour chicken, and Mongolian chicken). Sweet and sour was a good sugary jello like sauce, while the Mongolian chicken was spicy with way more depth and flavor. The egg rolls were fantastic, but the fried rice was lukewarm and lacking.
The lady inside was very nice, and she even gave me a free entree because she accidently mis-made my first order, what a win!
A pro tip would be to call in your order. You can save a few bucks doing that as opposed to ordering online. If you order online doordash is skimming off the top of this hard working establishment (even if you don’t get delivery)

My favorite Chinese place in Livingston county. Get their fried dumplings they’re the best I’ve ever had. You get a lot of them and they are cheap in price – great value! Honestly everything on the menu is a great value. Lots of food, good price, and the service is always quick.

Best Chinese food we’ve ever had. We are new to area and have been getting take out from here weekly. Their egg drop soup is outstanding! I eat gluten free and they make many dishes gf which is so great. My husband says their regular dishes are awesome as well. Highly recommended.

Might have been the worst meal out I have ever had. Kinda bummed drove 40 min, for gluten free options sit down Chinese. And was very disappointed. Ordered gluten free chicken fried rice and and the chicken was spongey and hardly fried. Won’t be back. I Ordered the spicy chicken and nothing spicy about it and it should have been called Barbecue sauce chicken.
