Out of the last two experiences my coworker and I have had here, we’ve had issues each time. The first being our chicken and wedges were cooked in old grease. They were hard and overcooked and inedible. The staff did give us new food on that visit. The customer service is good.
Then today, we decided to give it another chance. The chicken and wedges were great. However, the peach cobbler was not fully cooked. It was literally just a cup of dough and peaches.
Maybe next time will be the visit that it’s all right.

It says there is a drive thru but most of the time it doesn’t operate so you would have to go inside to place an order. Don’t judge the place from the outside but this place has one of the best homestyle meals I have ever tasted and eaten in the city of Louisville. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and didn’t mind telling me which one of the dishes were their faves. Would’ve gotten some of their greens but unfortunately they ran out during the time that I came so I opted for their potato salad and Mac and cheese instead with my meatloaf dinner. The sides were good and tasted pretty average but the meatloaf was very delicious and hearty and had a lot of vegetables in it. I was glad that they were very generous with their portion sizes and the cornbread that I paid extra for wasn’t too bad as well. I would suggest paying extra for the cornbread cause it was soo worth it. If only I come to this area a lot often I would’ve definitely become one of their regular customers.

Service was decent no attitude but she did raw dog my rolls, reached right in the bag and grabbed with her wet bare hands . I didnt say anything because she was nice but thats disgusting. I saw it through the swinging door they try to hide behind. Secondly I got a 12 pc wing and 5 wedges $20. Wings was 100% REFRIED you know old chicken when you taste it…..a little integrity goes a long way. Can’t say I will or wont be back, this has been my chicken spot for over a decade but things have changed so much, and its too expensive to be gambling with good and bad experiences….

I love this restaurant! Man everything is so good. I got lunch here today. I’m ready to become a life long customer. After a long day the food hit me differently. Ribs are fall off the bone. Not your typical chicken restaurant. This place is hands down tier one type shit.

Anytime I go to Dixie chicken, I order fish and some type of fried vegetables, the fish and fried vegetables are made to order. I had the jack salmon sandwich and fried mushrooms with a side of broccoli casserole, everything was good, and those two big pieces of fish is considered a sandwich

This restaurant serves excellent homemade food and desserts. The staff was friendly and courteous. I encourage people to try this restaurant. There are several different types of food. I had the pork tips with barbecue sauce, broccoli with cheese and rice and yams, which were tasty. It’s located at 3947 Dixie Highway. Head north coming from the Watterson Expressway.
We visited again March 8, 2022. The BBQ chicken was good but the vegetables were not as tasty as usual. Still, it was a good meal overall.

The worker was nice . I ordered a rib tip dinner , mashed potatoes/gravy and green beans. Well the mashed potatoes wasn’t seasoned and I’m used to brown gravy. The rib tips were dry, fatty and I had a lot of bone . This isn’t my first time going because my spouse eats there but I tried it yesterday and my opinion hasn’t changed

They said it would take ten minutes but you end up waiting more like 20. Ridiculous. I would have went back across the street. Waiting almost half an hour for 5 tenders is INSANE.

I went in for chicken, because the Autozone guys across the street said they were good, but got waylaid by the huge bbq ribs. She literally covered teh bottom of the box in meat that was falling off the bone, then poured a sweet tangy bbq sauce over them. The cornbread is sweet with a great texture. The mashed potatoes aren’t perfect, but it’s a big serving with gravy. The sweet potatoes are fresh, and the cobbler is gooey and tangy.
Granted, I was WAY stressed, then got super news at Autozone, so I’m feeling pretty good in general, but this was exactly what I needed.
I’m so full…I’ll be eating on this for a couple days. But 3am ribs are always great.

Food is always fabulous!! I got 25 whole wings spicy, omg!!! Amazing!! Cooked to order so they’re always hot. I love the meatloaf, so does my family, and the pork chops dinner is my personal favorite, also cooked to order… nice people, wonderful food, great prices!!
