Sherman’s began as a family owned grocery and meat counter in 1947. In 1985, it was completely revamped and re-opened as a full service restaurant. We suffered a terrible fire in January 2021. We reopened in October 2021 in a NEW location as Sherman’s at South Main . Please come visit us at 1697 South Main Street. 662-332-7297

Great lunch spot. The meat and 3 changes daily during the week. Always good however.
Plenty of salads, sandwiches, pizza and entrees to satisfy all.
Tamales, antipasto plates, muffulettas and Italian sandwiches.
Friendly, efficient service.
The fried chicken is great, crispy and hot out of the fryer. The green beans are the brightest green you’ve ever seen and rightly seasoned. Good Mac and cheese and sweet creamed corn. Dinners served w a soft yeast roll.
They have tea both ways; sweet and sad (unsweetened)

The very first time at this restaurant was 03/18/2023 @ 07:38p.m… Our server was Jamey C… I was there with family, & friend. Our experience there was great ! The food was very delicious & to me the price was reasonable. I had the Shrimp & Grits with a side salad. Today 04/06/2023 I have family visiting from Maryland, I took them there & they enjoyed it. This time for lunch our server this time was Kira. Each time I’ve gone here the food was very good! My experience with both server was awesome they were courteous & very friendly. The atmosphere was very nice as well, so please go & try it out for yourselves. You’ll be glad you did. ✔Out pictures of our entree.

I wish I could give zero stars. I got the pan seared chicken breast, and my mom got the catfish platter. We shared the stuffed mushrooms. The food was cold and devastatingly bland. My pan seared chicken was obviously not seared as the skin/breading was falling off. The steamed broccoli somehow had more seasoning than the chicken. My baked sweet potato? It looked like something I could’ve done myself because anyone can wrap a potato in foil, throw it in the oven and slap it on a plate. My toppings were nonexistent. I know good food, and, to keep it a complete buck with you, the food was disgusting. The service left much to be desired as well. If you read this and you care about more than just looks when it comes to a restaurant, save your time, gas and money. Trust me.

Last night was my first time eating at this restaurant. If I could I would have gave them more than 5 stars. The food was excellent and the environment was clean and very comfortable. I must say that the owner walked around and greeted his customers. He made sure that his customers were satisfied. My fiance and I have a new place to eat at instead of driving to Southaven all the time.

Restaurant is nice inside and out. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was timely and had good taste. I enjoyed the filet mignon – tender, juicy and good flavor profile. The steak sauce was not to my liking but I am an A1 type person.

Sherman’s was highly recommended by the owner of the Belmont 1857 BnB and it was fabulous.
The waitress was so friendly and the restaurant was exceptionally clean and well kept. The food was by far some of the best. We had the ribs , chicken parmasan with Alfredo, South Main Chicken Grill which I highly recommend and the chopped sirloin.
The sweet potato was as big as the plate.

Terrible Experience…. Came in for lunch for the first time and ordered 2 bowls of seafood gumbo.. both bowls were Ice Cold instantly causing us to lose our appetite. Then the main course comes out (French Dips) one slice of roast beef on each half and SOY SAUCE as the Au Jus. When brought to the managers attention she was very rude. And even told us she was doing us a favor taking off the gumbo, even though it was Ice Cold and sent back immediately. Would not work with us on the French Dip.
Will never be back. This place is an absolute joke. And that manager should be terminated

I absolutely love love love this place! This was my first time going to this location, as the last time I’ve been to Sherman’s it was in a different location and Gordon Ramsay hadn’t came through yet and did a Terminator on the front door LOL.
I was in town for Memorial Day weekend and had lunch there with my best friend . The food was wonderful! The front of the house staff and my waitress was SO Southern and SO full of hospitality! That Southern Charm just cannot be beat! That is very important when you come in to get service! I miss that! The catfish was cooked to Perfection as only the Mississippi Delta cook’s can do! ❤ I will definitely be making this the first spot on my list to go back to when I return home! Greenville is fortunate to have such a staple restaurant in town! If you are ever in Greenville, Mississippi and want some Southern food and Great Southern Hospitality, do yourself a favor and stop by Sherman’s @ South Main! You won’t be disappointed!☺☺

Aug 2022 wonderful dinner. Tried the fried crab claws and roasted artichokes..superb. Had the fried oysters and broiled shrimp..both delicious. Service was very good! They had music tonight..the famous Reverend Robert Mortimer of Goodpaper.
