We tried Cast Iron Waffles for the first time and it did not disappoint! The peanut butter cup waffle was rich, sweet, and perfectly indulgent — loaded with chocolate chips, peanut butter drizzle, and topped with whipped cream. The apple pie waffle was a warm, cozy dream with cinnamon, apples, and powdered sugar.
To drink, we had the Zombie Guts Refresher, which was tangy, fruity, and super refreshing, and the Spiced Butter Sugar Latte, which tasted like fall in a cup — sweet, buttery, and just the right amount of spice. Everything came out fresh, and the café itself had a really inviting, laid-back vibe.
If you’re in Charlotte and want something unique, comforting, and delicious, this place is a must-visit.

The waffles were not fresh and were very hard to eat. I wouldn’t recommend ordering waffles after 11 because the quality was really poor. Also, the milk for the hot chocolate was cold. Overall, it was a disappointing experience

I have posted very few Google reviews and they were all positive. Today’s experience was the sort that made me want to post my first negative review. 10:30 AM on a Thursday – no indication or aroma in the store that waffles were recently cooked. Our waffles were taken from a glass case and reheated. My waffle was extremely tough and chewy. My wife said her plain waffle was way sweeter than a waffle should be. Coffee was luke warm. I wanted decaf and the worker took a can out of the closet to make me a cup. I declined and had the luke warm regular coffee which I ended up throwing out. Very disappointing to what I expected to be upscale, classy, and high quality. $22 for 2 waffles and 2 coffees. We should have gone to a diner.

Love the location and the diversity of the staff and patrons! I’m not sure this place is wheelchair friendly it’s rather small and in a residential area so it has limited parking surrounding the block it’s on.
We did not love the waffles. We were under the impression that they were made fresh. They were heated up and pile with toppings, but the waffle itself is extremely dense and a bit cold. They run about $7.25 apiece. I would definitely suggest starting with one to share to see if you like it before diving headfirst into the different options.

Tiny little shop with the most superb waffles I’ve had in years. The edges are crispy and caramelized, the toppings are phenomenal, and the service was so fast. 10/10 Will definitely eat again!

I was really looking forward to trying Cast Iron Waffles, but unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming. We ordered the Blueberry Lemon waffle and the Lumberjack, and both left a lot to be desired.
The waffles themselves were crazy sweet to the point that it overpowered any other flavor. On top of that, the ingredients tasted noticeably artificial, which was disappointing. The Lumberjack waffle came with cold, flavorless bacon, and both waffles were cold when they arrived at the table. The service was great though.

We had such high hopes for this adorable little corner spot! The concept is wonderful and both the exterior, and interior, were warm and inviting on a spring day filled with bird song.
We love supporting small businesses and the great reviews pulled us in on a late Thursday morning. Unfortunately, the waffles, coffee, and service all fell well short of our expectations.
While not busy, the two people working seemed overwhelmed. Our waffles came out 10 minutes apart from each other. They were cold and hard, pulled from a plastic case where they are stored. We had difficulty trying to cut into them with provided utensils. Bland and flavorless. Coffee from the urn was lukewarm. Wife’s specialty coffee arrived after we were done eating.
Unfortunately, we did not eat most of the waffle(s) and the coffee was tossed.
I think it’d be a wonderful spot had the waffles been made fresh, coffee served hot, and orders arrived together as is the standard in any eatery. Perhaps we’ll give it another go in the future.

Amazing waffles!! Best batter I have ever tasted. I have an extreme sweet tooth so this was the perfect brunch for me. Quiet and cozy atmosphere. Perfect for my children. Not overstimulating. Great prices. We all had drinks and waffles for under $50 and there were 5 of us. I would come back again.

The waffle is a nice thick slice of TLC waiting to be dressed by the many options of your choosing. I choose two waffle options;
1) Fresh Fruit Deluxe with Bananas, Strawberries and Nutella.
2) Apple Crumble Waffle (also, added Nutella).
I am still debating which was better. They were both fantastic.
White Mocha Latte (20oz): Coffee was perfectly balanced and blended. I didn’t even need to add sugar. I loved it!
Customer Service: Layla did a fantastic job at providing recommendations, balancing an unexpected rush of customers just before closing, setting expectations, and keeping the orders flowing. What a talent!
