Russo Pizzeria in Fairfield (Cypress) is fantastic! The food is fresh, delicious, and consistently high quality.
What truly makes this place special is the owner, Prateek. He is extremely considerate and respectful of different cultures, especially when it comes to Halal food. I really appreciate how mindful he is about ingredients and preparation. It’s even more impressive that he’s planning to introduce Halal beef to make the menu fully Halal-friendly.
Great food and a genuinely caring owner — highly recommend!

This Russo’s location is excellent! The food and the service are always on point! I love the Tuscan salad full of veggies. Tonight I had the tortellini soup which was super flavorful. The pizza has never disappointed and we can’t visit without our favorite bruschetta appetizer. We love our server, Kylie, and the owner is so kind. Definitely worth a visit again and again. Great job!

I’ve lived in hockley for 2 years and never truly even noticed this Russo’s. The location is a tad bit obsolete and transparently the outside decore is a little unimpressive. BUT there were some absolutely great things going on in the building. The inside is calm and settling with beautiful Italian vibes going on. The aroma floating around in the building had my mouth watering before I ever even picked up a menu. The GM Rodney personally introduced himself and made sure his presence was known which I truly appreciate in a restaurants management. When this happens at you’re generally going to have a better experience…..because it’s obvious they care. BTW they offered us free dessert for my first time coming, they offer a complimentary garlic bread with a savory oil based sauce as an appetizer. For main course I had the gnocchi pasta and it was absolutely phenomenal. The sauce complemented the pasta very well and it was seasoned to perfection! Literal chiefs kiss of a meal, I was impressed. Our friends had the cowzone and salad, they were very satisfied with how fresh it was and stated it was great . Which was common occurrence from their experiences at Russo’s, so they weren’t surprised. The waitress is really sweet and good job checking on us consistently, she’s either a bit new or she’s just learning but very willing to serve. Show some grace and mercy! All in all my first experience at Russo’s won them 5 stars and a new fan!

Me and my date had dined in last night, and while the food was good, the service was just the opposite.
Supposedly, our “server” was the manager named Victor. While he not only made us seat ourselves, he didn’t give us a menu so my date had to go find one. We were sitting across from each other and I needed one as well, so I had waved Victor down to come get us one.
Meanwhile, a couple who had walked in right after us were seated by him promptly and he gave them their menus properly, unlike me and my date.
At this point, it wasn’t a big deal and I shrugged it off. Now where it really went down hill was when it took FOREVER for not him, but another table’s server who had saw we still had no drink to ask us what we wanted to drink.
When he finally came back, he gave us both water with no ice. Again, I shrugged it off and continued to wait, but I noticed that the same couple who had been seated after us were asked what they wanted to drink immediately after they were sat and get this– he gave them both ice water AND a lemon!
So I called him over, and asked politely if he could give us the same water?? Because how are you going to give them water with ice and a lemon in it and me and my bfs water with no ice? Forget the lemon, but the ice??? Come on now.
The rest of the night Victor was quite rude. He didn’t ask if we needed anything after giving us our meal, made 0 eye contact after that and did not speak to us for the rest of the night. Whereas the other couple got a completely different version of him and he was even polite to them.
Now I always say please and thank you and know how this usually goes as I’ve been a server myself and I was just really disappointed with his behavior. If it means anything to you, yes me and my date are both African American and in our early 20s. There was also an older African American woman who came in a bit afterwards to be sat down and she received no attention, leading her to storm out, understandably upset. The food was good, but man did the manager Victor ruin the entire experience that we paid for. :/

We were looking for a good Italian restaurant and found it. Anna went above and beyond my expectations, very bubbly and kind. The lasagna and spaghetti were fantastic. We will be back. Thank you for a great meal and great service.

I register this again and was appalled at the service i was dished out. The waitress was unfriendly, no hello no intro. Had to ask for the appetizer bread. While still eating she slapped the check on the table with a “ whenever you are ready” comment and walked away. Didn’t ask how was the food do you need anything else? Never brought the to go box I asked for. When paying I remarked to the head lady behind the counter “ your service was not good”. Her response “ I Hear you “ really. I was almost expecting her to follow up with “ so what do you want me to do”
If you like to be treated like they did you a favor by letting you in then please go there. But for someone expecting customer service , you’d be very disappointed. Now it could be just the girl that served me but it’s the reaction that surprised me. Anyway needless to say not going here anymore. There are plenty of other Italian restaurants that will gladly work hard to earn my business. Ciao!

Unfortunately, from start to finish I don’t recommend. My grandson and I decided to try Russo’s for dinner last night (Thursday). Walked in and we are asked if we were getting something to go or eating in. We’re eating in so we are told to sit wherever we want. Chose our table and noticed immediately it was sticky, as if the rag or water being used to wipe it down was dirty, you could see the dried swipe marks. Used the cloth napkin to wipe the table myself. Waited about 10 minutes (only three other tables with customers) and someone brought a bowl of dipping oil and “bread”. The garlic in the oil was overwhelming and the bread was flat and seemed not fully baked. We tried, we were hungry, but neither of us could eat it. Several more minutes pass and a young man asks us if we know what we want to eat. No, we weren’t given any menus. He grabs a laminated sheet from another table and brings it over. I give the one menu to my grandson and I ask the waiter what vegetables are in the tortellini caponata advertised on the door. He says he doesn’t know and it’s not part of the free meals they get so he hasn’t tried it. Um, ok. He offered to go ask someone but we’d already been sitting long enough so I tell him it’s fine and I’ll give it a shot. Grandson orders spaghetti with meatballs. After a bit our food comes out. We’re a few bites in and my grandson waives the waiter down to ask for water since no one had taken our drink order to start. Oops! I ask him how he likes the spaghetti and mention that apparently they slice the meatballs for you since all I saw was discs of meat, no meatballs. He said it’s ok but the meat tastes like sausage. Sure enough, he was brought spaghetti with Italian sausage slices. Not sure how you mix up those two. We realize at around 8:40ish that the staff are cleaning up for closing. I grab two to-go boxes and said we’ll just finish in the car, I guess. Having only eaten two raviolis I couldn’t fully comment yet on my meal except that it was very…sour…yeah, that’s the word, sour and salty. Fast forward to tonight (Friday). I heat up half of my meal for dinner (pictured). It’s about six tortellini, crushed tomato, sliced onion, raw celery, kalamata olive, and more capers than should ever be allowed. I think there’s a square of eggplant, too, but I’m not entirely sure. Either way, there was no balance at all, no sweetness and umami to smooth down the sour and salty. I couldn’t eat it. It was like brine. I guess next time I shouldn’t “give it a shot” and instead ask the wait staff to find out what’s in the dish. Very disappointed.

First time trying this place and unfortunately the last time. Bread was tough and looked like an assortment of random scraps. Meals were brought out 15 min apart. Chicken in the Alfredo was gray and chewy. Table was sticky and chairs were dirty. Server used a dining chair to stand on to fill ice in the soda machine, and didn’t bother to wipe it off afterwards. Place is dirty. They were out of ingredients even though we arrived shortly after opening. I can see there are multiple reviews like this. Where is management?
