Mariscos La Palmita — Incredible Seafood, Local Favorite & Amazing Value

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This place came highly recommended, and after visiting, I totally understand why. The restaurant was packed with locals when we went — always a great sign.

⚠️ Cash only, so come prepared.

What We Ordered ️

Chocolate Clams (Cooked)
You can choose raw or cooked — I went with cooked and it was delicious.
Very fresh, no fishy smell at all. One thing to note: every seafood dish comes topped with garlic. I’m not a fan of garlic and didn’t know ahead of time, so I rinsed it off with hot water — still amazing.

Calamari
Fresh, tender, and very well cooked.

Seafood Special Combination
Fish and squid were excellent. Lobster and shrimp were okay, nothing too special compared to the others.

Price & Value

The prices here are unbelievably cheap.
• 6 chocolate clams = 285 pesos
• Waldorf restaurant: 2 clams for $48 USD
• Another place we tried: 2 clams for 340 pesos

After eating around Cabo, this place clearly stood out for both quality and price.

We couldn’t even finish everything and packed leftovers back to the hotel.
Total bill for all dishes: around $100 USD — incredible.

Overall

Huge portions, super fresh seafood, local vibes, and unbeatable value.
If you’re anywhere near Cabo San Lucas, this spot is a must-visit.

We came for dinner and we really liked this place. It’s for locals, a nice respite from the touristy craziness.

I liked the varied menu options and the portion sizes were big! Flavorful and authentic. We tried the fried Snapper, shrimp ceviche, grilled octopus and cocktail. Everything was delicious. My favorite was the grilled snapper just because of how fresh and juicy it was.

The atmosphere is relaxed, with soccer playing in the background and open space but cool enough. It is cash only so be aware!

We were so impressed with the cuisine that we chose to dine here a second time during our trip to Cabo. The seafood is exceptionally fresh, the service is outstanding, and the restaurant offers a very open and inviting atmosphere. We highly recommend the coconut shrimp and the ceviche. The pricing is reasonable, and the portions are generous.

It is a famous place among Chinese tourists who are radars for high food qualities and very reasonable prices. Plenty of Rednotes posts and recommendations. Very glad that they did not increase the price even after they are so popular. Spent 1/3 of the price on your coconut shrimp compared to the beach’s restaurants. God bless this place.

We were looking for a reasonably priced restaurant that served fresh fish. Based on others’ ratings and reviews we decided to try Mariscos Palmita. It did not disappoint. The whole red snapper I had was absolutely delicious. The servers were great and the price was far below what it would have cost around the marina. Yes, it’s cash only. Helps keep the costs down. Will definitely be going back.

If you want local cuisine such as chocolate clams and marlin this is the place. Clean, small local place. Wonderful hospitality. Clams were amazing. Tried both raw and cooked clams. Chefs kiss. Both delicious. Cooked had more garlic, raw more of a traditional style. Pinned this location so we can go back.

Mariscos La Palmita is hands-down one of the best food experiences in Cabo — and we come here every time we visit.

The food is unreal. The fried fish is perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside — fresh, seasoned just right, and cooked exactly how seafood should be. And the lobster? Absolutely incredible. Fresh, generous portions, cooked to perfection, and packed with flavor. This is the kind of place where you can taste the ocean in the best way.

The staff makes the experience even better. Warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely proud of the food they serve. You never feel rushed — just taken care of like family.

And the prices… unbeatable. The quality you get for what you pay is honestly shocking (in the best way). You would pay double or triple for this level of freshness and flavor anywhere else, especially near the marina.

No frills, no hype — just authentic, honest, phenomenal seafood. If you want real Cabo, real flavor, and real value, this is

This hidden gem in Cabo is absolutely worth a visit. Not the typical overpriced tourist spot near the marina. If you like ceviches and local flavor this spot is definitely worth a visit.

Unreal. I never review places but I love this place with every fiber of my being. The staff are incredibly attentive and the seafood is as fresh as it gets. We munched the ceviche four times in three damn days. These people can throw down in the kitchen good GOD. I recommend the pescado x cameròn ceviche and eat that thing with chips. Heaven on earth and damn good for you. I wish I could put this place in my pocket and take it back to LA with me. Grateful to all the staff.
