The location was surely the highlight as it was right on the beach and parking was available for free. You definitely sense the vibe of this place right when you walk in as it was bustling. Really like the open kitchen setup.
The fries were amazing!! Surely something to try as a starter and to share as it was quite a large bowl.
My catch of the day which was a red snapper was delicious. The plate was well crafted and prepared. Love the pasta that came with the fish and the zesty tasting sauce.
Service was quite slow. From ordering our appetizer, I would say our main course order wasn’t taken until 30+ minutes. On top of that, we waited for over an hour for our main course. Could be also because we were a party of 10.
The prime burger was spectacular – the quality of the meat is unrivaled, a true Prime Burger, absolutely nothing like your run of the mill “burger.” Citrus’ Prime burger has set a new standard for burgers. The French fries had no option but to meet their match, there’s nothing worse than a brittle fry. These, however, were thick, hand cut, and fried on the spot, what more could you ask for?!
I recommend desserts even if that means you’re taking them to-go. The trio is what I’d recommend, you get a few bites of each! The flavor and consistency of the cheesecake was magical, so incredibly smooth and sweet. Followed by a perfectly tart key lime pie, and finished with the dark chocolate ganache-caramel cake. The flavor and textures were thoughtful and beautifully presented.
Citrus Grillhouse is a hit out of the park! 10/10, will be returning.
Foodwise, the appetizers were excellent, and we enjoyed the fresh pasta. I don’t know if they made the pasta themselves, but it tasted fresh.
Overall, great experince and I hope to visit again soon.
Get over it post pandemic no restaurant has a surplus of help. They hired a number of junior busboys to help the waiters and our service was great.
The endive “salad” was beautiful and sliced thin and a dressing that was sublime, the best use and taste of endive I have ever tasted , sliced almonds and a honey Dijon dressing.
The beet salad was equally presented and delicious.
The local red snapper was pan fried to perfection over a bed of white beans.
The pastas were presented as precisely as they were prepared. And you can get a side pasta too! Sides of Broccolini and pasta were tasty.
Second visit 2024
Their salads are sublime. Haricort vert salad and dressing was exquisite. Flounder special amazing. Pastashreat as always.
My only complaint, skip the bread it’s not that great and they charge $4 for it too.
