Luckily I found this spot online as I always staying across the highway, a short walking distance away.
Sitting at the counter and watching service happen, I noticed this is an almost all woman kitchen- servers, counter servers, expo, all the cook but one. This got me excited. The food didn’t disappoint, my cheesy grits with poached egg and pork roll (we call it Taylor ham where I’m from) was amazing.
My only regret is that I dined alone and didn’t have friends to try and share different dishes with.
We will definitely be trying this location again.
Chicken and waffles, lots of avocado toast selections, smoothies, crab-cake eggs Benedict and Brownstone-style milkshakes at half the price.
Order your potatoes and hash well-done though,
Try it. I shared their menu.
All smiles and the works for the white couple but you would of thought I was sticking them up with how unenthusiastic or unhelpful they were being. Noone including myself expects backflips and fireworks but it was 9am not that early.
The one star soley for the staff. If youre a POC id say avoid this place entirely and find a place that doesnt act like they’re doing you a favor while youre paying for it
Ive enjoy both places until learning the establishment next door cant “serve brunch” because of something C&G’s has done.
I entertain clients family and friends at both establishments until learning that a completely different type of food establishment seems to pose such a risk of $ monetary loss with yours you believe, and that simple good neighbor practices no longer exist with the owners of this one.
Your costs as all around have risen so high for what your offering id rather take my business next door or somewhere else from now on.
Ill not recommend your business to anyone again and hope you understand simple competition exists everyday in business.
Your food is simple not special not the same as anything made next door and my money is better spent with people who care about others, the community and being good neighbors.
The interior needs a serious make over as well.
Why do you put tables in a fire lane and why does the township allow it.
Why does Tom’s river pd allow you to block the Fire Lane with tables?
Handicap access past your business is restricted by items you have out daily.
ADA violations are a real and serious issue
Why has code enforcement never cited you for blocking the fire lane????
Something smells fishy!
