If you want friendly service, yummy food, a cold beer with your breakfast GO! It’s very hard to find good quality food that is delicious. But we did! Everything is made from scratch. I’m picky about sausage gravy and their is amazing! The tri tip omelette was fluffy and delicious. I want to take the cafe home with me! We can’t wait to go back. The owner was AWESOME too! Great place definitely recommend!

They have amazing food here and the wait staff are excellent. I went out with a friend group and one of us got stuck at work till 7:30. Despite it being almost closing time staff staff stayed kind and patient with us and the food came out fresh and amazing. Our waiter was understanding and very attentive with refills of drinks even after we had been waiting for our friend for over 30 minutes.

What a restaurant! My family visited the area and chose to eat there, and we don’t regret it! The food was amazing and huge in portions. We were all full by the end. The staff was very friendly and kind as well.

However, this place will be truly memorable thanks to someone who took care of our pay. We were a total stranger to the area, but that person did us a huge favour. If you are reading this, my family and I would like to say thank you for your kind act of kindness.

Nonetheless, the restaurant is AMAZING and it is a must-good in Baker City.

Just passing through, and what a great experience! Clean and friendly, with delicious food. The fried zucchini is what I wish every restaurant would serve… FRESH, juicy, flavorful and the house made ranch puts it over the top. I’ve been ordering Reuben sandwiches a lot lately in different cities and just hadn’t found the one…this is THE ONE!! Can’t say enough about it. The right amount of not too salty corned beef, amazing house made thousand island, tart sauerkraut, and cheese on dark rye, It was perfect and I’m going to be sad that I live 5 hours away.

We stopped in about an hour before close on a Friday night. It just happened to be our 15th anniversary dinner. We ordered the Kansas Cory Nachos as our appetizer, it came out quickly and was pretty tasty. The coleslaw and pulled pork play well with the buffalo chips and cheese sauce. We enjoyed it. We ordered the Flaming Salad with steak for our main to split. The salad came out pretty quickly and looked great. Steak was cooked properly as well. We had a mix up with our dressing choice and got blue cheese. The wife is anti blue cheese. The waitress was kind enough to replace the salad for us. We sat there until a few minutes before closing and decided to box it up and grab a few desserts for the road. We got the chocolate cake, carrot cake, and peanut butter one. Im sure they are all good. We haven’t had to have a chance to try them yet. Overall a good choice with good food. The reviews are well earned.

We went to dinner and Karlie the server was great. She made sure we were taken care of. The food was great. I had the ribbye steak with fettuccine alfredo. The steak was perfectly cooked and the fettuccine was so cheesy, my girlfriend had the prime rib. The food was great. We will definitely be back. I recommend this place if you want good food, great service at a great price.

Had the Rueben sandwich and onion rings, best Rueben I’ve had in a long time, meat was very tender, saurkraut tasted fresh out of the crock. The onion rings had real onion instead of some mushy make believe onion, tasted homemade as well. The gals that waited on us were very friendly and thank goodness they had a great sense of humor. I recommend Eagle Cap Grill, I’ll be going back next time I’m in town.

If you’re driving through Baker, Oregon and looking for a good meal, consider checking out Eagle Cap Grill, a family owned restaurant that is a local favorite. It’s a little off the main drag, so I didn’t know it existed until I googled restaurants in Baker and it came up as an option. The night I visited, the restaurant was pretty busy including several large groups who seemed to be celebrating special occasions. Even so, my service was excellent and I didn’t have too long of a wait for my food. I ordered a classic half pound cheeseburger with french fries. It was excellent! I like that this restaurant makes a point to serve high quality beef. I’ll be back!
