Came on a Sunday night for the free pool. Yes, I understand pool is free so things probably cost more. However, my issue with this place lies with the attitudes of the bartenders and how they handled charging me. I ordered a chicken tender plate with a side of cheese curds. Cheese curds are listed on their menu as a side, but I was charged full price for the cheese curds with the tenders which turned it into a $20 plate of tenders and cheese curds. I went up to the bar to clarify my receipt, and the male bar tender (working at 7pm on Sunday 12/28) in a rude tone said, “yeah, that’s why” when I mentioned I ordered cheese curds. They need to clarify on their menu that certain sides add the FULL PRICE of the side by itself onto the price of an entree and they also need to reflect that properly instead of putting a “zz” on the receipt. They also need to learn some basic customer service.

A local hangout with friendly faces.
The service is always good, even on busy nights. Not saying it is the fastest on busy hours but they will hustle to serve you.
Pool tables are convenient to use. Just have to squeeze thru others playing but it could be a friend making opportunity ‍♂️
The food is better than most in comparison. Definitely try their brews, they are good beers.
Fun, friendly, and good food.

My Farewell Tour After a Decade of “Service”

For ten years, I’ve performed a fascinating social experiment: could free pool truly offset an ever-declining bar experience? At Pitchers, the answer is finally, resoundingly no.

What began as “quirky service” has matured into what I can only describe as hostile efficiency. The staff (looking at you Amy) have perfected a customer interaction model I’d call “transactional disdain.” Asking for a drink feels less like an order and more like presenting a burden. My ID has been scrutinized with the intensity of a border agent suspecting forgery, which is flattering, if confusing, for a man in his 30s.

The pièce de résistance of my final visit was a masterclass in flexible hours. With a posted closing time an hour away, we were graciously permitted to purchase one last overpriced pitcher. Then, in a bold operational pivot, closing time was moved up 50 minutes! The resulting scene—me hurriedly chugging a beer while being serenaded by curses and a closing-time anthem over the loudspeaker—was less “last call” and more “eviction notice.” It was appallingly memorable.

Combine this with décor that embraces “pre-renovation chic,” bathrooms that serve as a testament to human resilience, overpriced beer, and karaoke that could make a cat flinch, and you have a truly unique spot.

In summary: If you’re looking for free pool and an anthropological study in how not to treat regulars, Pitchers is your laboratory. For anything resembling a pleasant affordable night out, the joke’s on you.

We just moved to FOCO. Two blocks from Pitchers. They have both the NFL and NBA passes. BUT… do not ask them to tune in to any one game you hope to watch your team on. Sunday NFL day. Also NBA day. All TVs dedicated to their ‘regulars’. Football it is. Ok, I love football.

Waited until first games ended. Many regulars left.

5 TVs wide open. No football fans watching one of them. Please may I watch the Rockets/Bucks NBA game on one of the 5?

Grumble and mumble and disappear. Was my 2nd ask.

Guess they do not need any more regulars.

Citrus wheat is a good beer. But yah, see you. Maybe not.

Pitchers is a favorite of mine, pool hall, brewery and sports bar all in one. Pitchers has 10 pool tables on one side and a bunch of tables on the other.

Good food menu, music is typically a bit of club style though. Craft beer selection covers ipa and lagers, staff is friendly and attentive.

Finding parking in lot is never a problem. They do kareoke as well.

Crispy, cheesy, Chile relleno, fat juicy steak chunks in burrito and enchilada.
Prices are reasonable.
Unfortunately, they used a plastic container and plastic lid for the salsa; they should just put a dialup of each on the salsa and sour cream. That would eliminate using unitary plastic.
The Margarita could use some mixology work. For $9, I’d expect something more than a pint of water mixed with corn syrup with a dash of tequila
I’ll be back, they just need to make a couple changes for a 5 star review

Group of military friends and I got kicked out because of people outside who dislike the military. We visit every time we train, and never cause issues. We sung karaoke, cheered and sang along to encourage others who were singing, and played darts. One of the waitresses told us that it’s because some of us were vaping, but we overheard another waitress saying she didn’t like the military, and to make up something to kick us out for.

UPDATE: we were seated on the opposite side of the pool tables. None of my friends played pool. Another lie made up to try to justify kicking us out. I listed our activities, we didn’t play pool. We didn’t break anything. Nice try.

Staff was rude to the delivery guy for absolutely no reason. I will be telling all my friends to stop coming here and be making my opinion public

Pretty nice spot for pool, sports, karaoke some nights. The beer is decent, bar food definitely a step above most. Not a huge fan of the rule that everybody playing pool has to buy something – as it sort of punishes designated drivers. But if they’ve had problems before I suppose it makes sense. I’d also say, try to be specific when you open a tab, I’ve had a few experiences where they want to combine yours with your friends etc, and very often when they do that I wind up paying for drinks that the people on my tab didn’t order. Maybe just pay as you go, that’s going to be my strategy going forward.
