Awesome Thai/Chinese…crab Rangoon (I think they call it different) is incredible and probably the best I’ve ever had. Potstickers were also top shelf. Went with Kung Pao Shrimp also excellent and great portion and fresh veggies.

Not to be outdone, service is textbook how to…personable people with quick friendly service. Jay is 5 stars.

I i’m from Houghton Lake and I’m looking forward to taking a return trip there real soon.

I had foodinsanity and they cured me.

Wow! I always ever got take out, and let me tell ya the dinning experience I had was top notch. We arrived around 12:30, with two 5 tops and three other tables dinning in. Our waitress was amazing, gave us a jug of water. Apps came out 20min before our main course. She checked on us three times. I was very very impressed. I will totally dine in again.

Very great food. The egg drop soup was amazing. Taste like no other egg drop soup I ever had. Then we ate angel wings. Again fantastic two chicken wings filled with something very special. Fried and the dipping sauce wow. Lastly we tried steamed dumplings. This was great simple tasty. The sauce for dipping was great. Very best part served was fire. The manager and staff moved with great ease no one waited very long they were t the table 5 or six times. Very good from top to bottom. I highly recommend.

I think there’s a reason every time I pass this restaurant there’s barely anyone dining there. My husband and I ordered take out and got drunken noodle with chicken, egg drop soup, general Tao chicken, and white rice. We were very disappointed because the ingredients in the drunken noodle were not fresh. The bean sprouts were discolored and slimy. The peppers were also discolored. The general Tao chicken looked like leftover scraps of chicken thrown together. Chicken in both dishes were dry and bland. The rice was old. I would definitely try to get a refund but they don’t do refunds. Last time I order here.

Friendly & prompt. Had delicious potstickers starter, Thai pork in spicy peanut sauce, pork lo mein, Thai scallops drunken noodles. Entrees come with egg drop soup & some with fried rice.
Everything was the best we’ve had anywhere! Fresh, hot & delicious! Even the hot tea.
We are 2 hours south & will plan our trips north to be able to stop here every time. Fabulous
Modern decor in an old brick building with quiet background music.
Generous portions for the price.

Very busy place service was great. We had crab Rangoon and it was fabulous so was the sweet and sour sauce. My mom had the wonton soup and she loved it too. I also had egg drop soup and it was flavorful and great. I ordered the beef with veggies and very good portion and tasty. My son got beef chow mein and he loved it. My wife got the green curry dish for takeout the next day and she loved it as well. Highly recommend if you have not been but be prepared to wait about 45 minutes for your meal due to staffing and the care they take in preparation of your food but well worth the wait!!!

– 5/5 for location and ease of parking.

I am a hard Authentic Thai Critic and I know what’s authentic or not. This place is the best in the northern part of lower peninsula off of i-75. Don’t settle for burgers or fast food in the area and just come to Ah-Loy. You won’t find another gem in the north.

Don’t listen to harsh 1-star critic burgerking Karens that couldn’t have it their way.

Fantastic food!!!! The best Thai that I have had and the best meal that I have had in a while. I irder a Tom Kah, Crab Wantins and an Egg Roll. I recommend getting the hit or hitter if you are used to spicy food. The staff and waitress were awesome! Kind and sweet.

The only thing that was good was the crab rangoon! Everything else was terrible. It was so sweet and pad see ew has the thicker rice noodles not like the ones they use. They might as well serve diabetes in there with all the sugar they use. It’s crazy how sweet everything was. Will not be going back there at all. NOT Thai or Chinese. TERRIBLE!!!!

We stumbled upon this restaurant and thought we’d give it a shot. The staff was very friendly, and the food was exceptional. I like trying Thai food whereverI can, and this is one of the better places I’ve encountered. We ate Pad Ped, Drunken Noodles, and Fried Rice with Chicken.
