If you are in Syracuse, Indiana and craving sushi or hibachi, Kiyomi Japanese Restaurant is hands down my top choice. The food is absolutely worth the wait every single time.
Out of all the sushi and hibachi places I have tried, Kiyomi consistently ranks at the top of my list. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with so much care. You can truly tell this is a family run restaurant that pours their heart into the business. They work incredibly hard and it shows in every dish that comes out.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the waitresses are always kind, and it honestly feels like someone is making a homemade meal just for you. It is the kind of place that keeps you coming back again and again.

This place is my favorite place to go. They have high quality sushi and sides, we love coming here for our dates. The staff is incredibly nice and understanding, and the owner is amazing. We don’t even have to say anything and she has our order down. Truly the best experience every single time. Even if they seem busy you still get your food reasonably fast

I love this place! I am a new and already frequent flyer of this fine gem. Kiyomi made me a sushi person! (I never thought I’d be a sushi person) If you want to be one I reccomend “the kiyomi roll” it’s like christmas morning in your mouth. i also lovecthe crab rangoon wontons. My recent venture was ordering Yaki Soba? (not confident in that spelling) but ask to make it spicy!!! you won’t regret it…that is unless you don’t like spicy. Anywho I’ve probably spent more here than I should have but I probably also won’t stop ♂️. I like to eat this in the comfort of my home where I’m free to slurp and moan about how delicious it is

Owner Kelly and her family and staff provide gorgeous presentations and fresh, high-quality Japanese food. You might meet her son Jerry too – look for his photos behind the desk. Many friends who travel a lot told me this is their favorite sushi place anywhere in the United States. I cant disagree. Generous portions and well done food. Here you can taste the sushi itself and not just the sauce.

I was shocked by how great this place was! In a tiny town in rural Indiana, I wouldn’t expect there to be the tastiest or freshest sushi. I’m so glad I was proven wrong. Super tasty fish but everything on the menu truly looked amazing! The restaurant was pretty full for good reason, but we only waited about 10 mins for a table. Service was a little bit slow, but again it was packed and we weren’t in a rush, so it wasn’t a problem. Before we were about to leave, the owner (I think) even came out and thanked us for being so patient and waiting! Even though it wasn’t event that long at all. So so sweet. I used to come to this town every year growing up and I wish this place was around back then!

Fresh ingredients & flavors preparwd exceptionally. The ginger dressing is to die for on house salad. Kani salad is great! Edamane, clear soup both are wonderful. Excellent cuisine, hibachi, bento boxes with tempura are fabulous. So is the pots of Japanese noodles , ramen, & fried rice w/ shrimp & chicken are amazing & large portions & inexpensive. I love love this place, food.

The food had such amazing flavor. They close at 930p. We got there shortly after 9, they didn’t care. They were very welcoming & let us finish our food even after 930. Without any rushing. Atmosphere, food, personalities everything was great!!

Stopped in a little late, had tables ready for us to sit in. The kids really liked their food, dynamite roll lived up to name! Wife had enough food for three people as she ordered a dinner. 3 Togo boxes and an easy lunch for us tomorrow.
