It had been a while since my last visit to Siam Orchid Thai, and I came back with high expectations because I remembered the food being really flavorful. This time, it didn’t quite hit the mark. The soups were definitely good, but the cashew chicken was pretty plain and lacked flavor, and the crazy noodles were similar—just not much seasoning. I’m not sure if the chef or menu has changed. It wasn’t terrible, just not up to what I was expecting.
That said, the service was excellent—fast, attentive, and very customer-service oriented. The food came out quickly, and the restaurant itself was clean, welcoming, and had a great atmosphere.

First , I ordered from Uber eats which apparently has a different description of Ginger Fish than what is listed on the website menu here. It barely had any Ginger, the entire portion of food was missing the pork, and there were literally 3 shrimp on the order. For $27 just the entree! I received maybe 3 thin fish fillets. It was tasty but definitely not worth the price and did not include all the ingredients advertised.

I’m so glad we discovered this restaurant during a last minute search for lunch. First off, the ambience is great. Very comfy atmosphere with the decor, lighting, and music. We went in the later half of lunch so it wasn’t crowded and we were quickly seated at a booth. The staff are very welcoming, friendly, and attentive. They have all the classic pad Thai noodles but also rice dishes. I enjoyed their strawberry chicken which was included in their lunch special. 5/5, definitely coming back during lunch.

I had high hopes for Siam Orchid, as I recall it was the sister restaurant to the Siam that used to be on Bethel Rd (which I loved). Food was similar in taste but quality was not quite up to par with the old Siam. On the bright side, shrimp toast was on point!

The food is so good!! I originally thought there was nothing for me because I am vegetarian. Actually my boyfriend and I went in and ended up leaving after looking at the menu last time because we thought there was nothing for me. You can ask for no fish sauce in everything that lists fish sauce. You can modify things if you are vegan as well. I’m glad we went back because I was very impressed by the food! I got the basil fried rice, with tofu and no fish sauce. I also go the tofu tod. My boyfriend loved what he got as well. Highly recommend!!

Had shrimp Pad Thai and hot tea…the food was in my opinion a 7 out of 10… it had good flavor, and the bean sprouts were nice and fresh. but the portion compared to most other restaurants was approximately 8 ounces less or one cup of less food for the portion…. unfortunately Google only has five levels for judging Which I think they need to change… the tea was not that great

Impressive menu. Thai and Chinese. Most can be veganized. The server was very knowledgeable about what to avoid. When we ordered the pad Thai she immediately said: “no egg no fish sauce “. We got the pineapple curry and the pad Thai. They were really good. It doesn’t get the 5 stars because it’s not 100% vegan but otherwise it’s really good. We’re coming back and bringing friends

This restaurant is our favorite for Thai food. It’s a quaint restaurant with cosy vibes. The service is quick and friendly. We had satay chicken, tom yum soup, panang curry. It’s kid friendly and we were able to order food based of peanut allergy.

Our first visit to Siam Orchid was unfortunately a significant disappointment, as the experience failed to live up to the inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. While the decor is lovely and the staff were initially welcoming, the meal itself lacked the balance, freshness, and quality we expected from this cuisine. Across the board, we found the execution of the cooking to be underwhelming, with inconsistent flavors and textures that didn’t justify the price point. It is always difficult to share such a critical perspective, and we genuinely hope our experience was just a rare “off” night, but the gap between the potential of the space and the reality of the service and food left us frustrated rather than satisfied.
