In 2006, the Altomare brothers returned to Hudson, Ohio, a place they once called home, to embark on a dream they always held of once again working together alongside their father. Their dream became a reality in October of 2006 when the doors of Hudson’s Restaurant opened for the first time, creating a new Hudson landmark. Their hope is that one day history may repeat itself by J.J. and Kevin’s children, washing dishes on a milk crate – just the way they got started in the family business.
This casual eatery offers a long list of burgers & comfort food plus an extensive martini menu.

Came here for the first time. Holiday season it’s called blitzens loved loved loved it. We ate loaded chicken nachos. Cheeseburger and tots. And grilled chicken French sandwich and frys. All food came out hot even thought it was crazy busy. We checked in and had a hour wait well worth the wait. Had a melted snowman drink it was great. The staff super nice and efficient.

Hudson’s / Blitzens is a fantastic bar and restaurant for the price. All the main courses are very well prepared with excellent seasoning. But I will say the sides and appetizers are lacking they are under seasoned and fall flat because of that. The drinks are surprisingly good well thought out and a nice balance between boozy and sweet. Now during the holidays this place is know to get multiple hours waits. Do I think it’s worth waiting that long for, no. It’s good but if you wait over an hour for this place is do feel you’d be disappointed. There christmas decorations are impressive but there are other things in the cleveland area that will get you in thw christmas spirt that will not leave you waiting for hours. I’d suggest visiting hudsons throughout the year to get the same food with no wait. As far as parking goes it’s basically attached to the garage that sits in the middle of hudson so parking is not an issue.

Decided on coming back this year to BLITZENS Christmas pop up bar. We went at 5pm on a sat the wait was about an hour or so. Luckily we got seated a little sooner! Elizabeth was very knowledgeable of menu and drinks. Very friendly and prompt. Miriam was incredible host dealing with all the big parties coming in and out. Will definitely come back not during the holidays when it’s not as busy. The decor is amazing compared to other places. They go way over the top. The ribeye was flavorful and cooked perfect. The pot roast was tender and fall apart and good size portion to say the very least.

The holiday pop up bar was so cute! Our server was amazing. Food was very good. The chicken salad was good, but the big bun it was on was a little much. Would definitely order it again but on bread instead.

I am glad I picked this restaurant on a whim! Everything we ate was very good. Very hot and flavorful! I recommend the shrimp tacos and the loaded baked potato couldve been a meal on its own

Went for Blitzens after reading all the hype. The place was decorated so cute and I really wanted to enjoy it more than I did. We arrived at 3:50 and got seated at 5:30. Ordered the moment we were sat. Our server brought most of our drinks then disappeared. Someone else brought our food out a little after 6. We had empty plates, glasses, and the menus on the small table while we tried to eat and I had to follow up several times to get them to bring my drink after the food arrived. I ended up having to put the menus on the floor to make space. Our server just seemed shut down and all the other workers we interacted with seemed annoyed/frustrated and unfriendly. It was certainly busy but it just made for a tense atmosphere despite all the fun decorations. The food was just okay and I’ve had better at lower prices at similar kinds of restaurants. All in all the concept is an amazing idea, decorations so cute, but poor execution, unfortunately.

I’ve been to Hudsons a few times. Recently I was there with my children and from the start it was not great. When I saw the hostess she looked annoyed we were even there-it was 11:30am on a weekday and the restaurant was almost empty. Lunch rush hadn’t even started. She seated us and I asked for a highchair. No highchair came. When the waitress came I also asked for a highchair but she never came back with one. The other mom who I was with eventually got up and went back to ask another waitress for a highchair. My son was upset, but as soon as he got into the highchair he calmed down. Thank goodness. The waitress got some of the drink orders incorrect-not a big deal. The food arrived and my chicken sandwich was cold. The sliders my friends got looked much better. The kids loved the Christmas decorations but honestly who are you decorating for in a family establishment if you are going to be annoyed by the presence of children?

The staff here was very welcoming and attentive. The atmosphere was comfortable. I wish I could say I loved my lunch,but it was just okay. My spaghetti was 16.99 and so was the meatloaf. Meatloaf was served lukewarm but the waitress quickly reheated it . Pretty expensive for just okay food. The dessert was extra good though.
