This place was busy! Ordered the pick 3 meal. When the order came one of the meats were missing but the server was quick and got the missing meat. Everything tasted good especially the sides. The sides were hitting!!! The sauce for the bbq was okay kind of generic like sweet baby rays. Links were good, pulled pork could have more smokiness but the best out of the three was the chicken!

Bear West is the real deal. They have the best potato salad I’ve ever had at a soulfood restaurant. I will say, if u want what u want, you’d better get there early. They sell out throughout the day. You won’t be disappointed.

Visited here again today. The food is so fresh and well seasoned. Customer service is top notch. The portion sizes are generous. I ordered the 2 meat plate with potato salad and cabbage. Before I left I ordered two additional sides of Mac and cheese and yams, plus peach cobbler. This place is amazing. A group of us came here after our golf round and Bear West did not disappoint. Bravo!

My friend recommend it. I had the tri-tip and ribs, green beans, baked beans and corn bread.This was really good. I enjoyed the food alot and will be coming back again. I tasted the greens and mac and cheese and they were also tasted. The atmosphere was friendly and clean.

I’ve been to this place twice so far and this is probably the best soul food place I’ve been to EVER. Hot links and tri tip were nice and flavorful. I’m very picky when it comes to mac n cheese, but I was genuinely impressed and it’s definitely my go-to now if I get any extra sides. I’ve been to a lot of restaurants where they make their collard greens WAY too salty but these were perfect. Yams were sweet and delicious. I’m not a big cornbread person but this place made it pretty good. Banana pudding is pretty solid too if you’re craving a sweet tooth right after. Would % recommend this place to friends and family.

I initially looked up food near me, cuz I needed to stay nearby for work. I had heard about Bear West BBQ in North Highlands, so when I saw it was on Folsom Blvd, I decided to try it. I pre-ordered on the website. Website was a bit confusing to navigate but I was also in a hurry and anxious to see if this was gonna be a good BBQ spot. Immediately got a text updating my pickup time from 2 pm to 2:20 pm. ♀️ whateves if its good, then it’s worth the wait. Y’ALL!!!! If I lived nearby, I would need to join a gym. I got the ribs with mac&cheese and 2 sides of cornbread. The ribs were so tender, my teeth went thru the meat like it was butter. The cornbread doesnt even need butter and honey, the Mac and cheese was delicious. I wish they served that in a bigger size because I wanted more of it!! And the peach cobbler hands down the best I’ve ever had. I have to save some so my boyfriend can try some with vanilla ice cream. $40 for what I got might seem like a bit much, but the quality is great. Like I said if I lived nearby, I would need to file bankruptcy and join a gym, because I’d be eating here all the time.

This has to be the best BBQ that I’ve had since coming to Sacramento 6years ago. The ribs are not skimpy at all meaty and flavorful. The brisket is full of flavor and melt in your mouth tender. This place is a little out of the way for my family but it’s worth the trip. This is a go to place for my family for BBQ. They also have delicious desserts. I had the 7up pound cake and my wife had the German chocolate cake, delicious.
