Found this place on Google maps, we stopped here for Lunch on our way home from Vermont. This turned out to be a nice find. Very good contemporary interior, nice welcoming staff, great tasting food, wide range of vegetarian selection (I look for Vegeterian options). Very satisfying

We’ve wanted to try out Jaipore for a while, as it’s pretty close to Danbury! Getting there was easy and there’s ample parking for a Saturday night. The ambience is really nice inside! I ordered the rogan josh (comes with rice) which was super flavorful, and the lamb was well-cooked. It definitely is a big portion despite coming in a small container: save some for the next day! Would come again with a bigger group and try the cocktails. Thanks to the kind staff who showed professionalism and friendliness!

Great family-owned Indian restaurant. Very nice sit-down a la carte restaurant. Delicious meals, great service, good ambience. You will not be disappointed if you enjoy Indian food. I myself was not a very experienced connoisseur of Indian food. However, I went twice during two holiday buffets and was able to taste a variety of foods to get a feel of what I liked. Jaipore does these buffets on major holidays, such as New Year, Mother’s Day, etc. they also do this on Sundays from noon to 3 pm and on the first full Sunday of every month. The rest of the time it’s sit-down dinners. Obviously, go for the staples, such as Chicken Tikka Masala, chicken tandoori, get the naan bread, for beer try the Taj Mahal. There are many other dishes, such as malai kofta which is a favorite, lamb madras and more. You also have to try the samosas. They have naan, which we usually get regular, but they also have a variety of flavored naan, such as onion, cheese-topped, etc. There is a varied menu. I edited my post and added pictures. I will definitely go back again and again. Very nice family-owned restaurant and you will not be disappointed.

Delicious! The butter lamb masala was out of this world and my son loved the lamb saag. The chicken chettinad had a wonderful flavor. The masala chai was so good, I had to get another cup!

I used to really love this place and ordered from it at least once a week (sometimes more). And it’s just really gone down hill – things are either kind of bland (even if you request them spicier), oddly sweet, or have an artificial smoke flavor to them. Everything is oily, to the point where there are just pools of oil on top of the food when it arrives. Maybe I keep catching them on a bad night but it’s been often enough that the food hasn’t been good that I don’t think I’ll eat here again. People who work there are very nice and try to be accommodating but I think my Jaipore Era is at an end.

Sunday lunch buffet was delicious and full of variety. Lots of interesting dishes that you don’t get at just any Indian buffet especially in the appetizer section. And the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I recommend a reservation if you go for the lunch buffet as it was pretty busy.

Well built restaurant in the 18th century house which has certain sections for an exclusive experience ( Romantic Dinner etc.)
We visited the place ( on our way from Legoland Park) for a dinner stop and had a great experience with the food and personalized service. The owners are the ones running the operations and very humble and grounded.
Coming to the food, Paneer Butter Masala, Mutter Paneer and Ghee Rice topped the taste for the vegetarians. Chicken Phaal, luchi Bagari ( Shrimp cooked in a curry) and Tandoori medley were the top picks. Please ensure to mention the spice level based on hot vs moderate ,( unlike other places where the differences will be Indianized hot or Americanized hot)
Imli Baighan ( Eggplant Fritters) and Dal Tadka were not apt as there was a smell of oil ( which comes from frying in overly used oil) and too much cinnamon in Dal, However the support staff was kind to have that replaced and not charged for the replacement.
Overall a good place to visit if you are in I84 E and coming back to CT from NY and want to take a quick stop for authentic Indian meal. The drive from the interstate junction and the place is 10-15 mins so plan accordingly, otherwise if you are around the village of Brewster or Fishkill do visit!!!
Thanks to Mr Manoj and Arun for the warm gesture.
