I haven’t been to this place is over a year and it was my go to Mexican place in Poplar Bluff and I must say things have changed and not for the better. I went there with my gf on Sunday afternoon and was shocked to see that the place was pretty empty as I remember it always busy on Sunday. We ordered some amaretto sours and the drinks were terrible with barely any alcohol in them. So I asked for them to change her drink after a sip and they did but still charged us for the full nasty tasting amaretto sours. We ordered nachos and carne asada tacos and both meals were just Meh, nothing like I remember from a year ago. Even the queso wasn’t as thick as it used to be. They definitely changed owners in this place or something. The carne asada meat on the tacos tasted old and send me to the bathroom after the meal. They definitely downgraded the quality of the food here. And the bill of $75 was outrageous. We just went across the street to casa grande and had way more food and drinks for $60 last week. Stay away! Not what it used to be.

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. The interior is somewhat worn down. I ordered a beef chimichanga, which I understand are typically deep-fried burritos. However, mine wasn’t deep-fried at all. Despite that, it was still tasty, as were the beans and rice that came with it. My friend had the beef nachos, which were also good.
I did feel a bit rushed by our server, and our drinks were never offered a refill, which influenced our tip.
Overall, there was nothing significant that would prevent us from returning.

I had the #2 lunch special. It is so good. New menus. I hadn’t been here in almost a year. The changes really make the atmosphere lovely.

Food could’ve been better. Not bad but definitely not the best in Poplar Bluff. Service was great though.

I eat a lot of Mexican food. This is my first in MO. I was leary. What I was fortunate enough to eat today was one of my old favorites Camarones Also Diabla. A fish I have enjoyed many many times. This was the best I have ever had. Great food, perfect service, clean and quiet. A great experience!!!!!

I was denied a drink despite providing multiple forms of ID showing my birthdate (which is well over 21 btw). They continuously told me that my ID didn’t seem real because it wouldn’t scan on their phones. Silverware was dirty. Onions were RAW. Not a good experience

Felt rushed to order. Our toddlers milk didnt come till almost 5 minutes after our drinks. Then our toddlers chicken fingers came out as we were finshed with our food. Make it make sense.

Oh my gosh! This place was fantastic! First of all, we ordered the spinach artichoke dip, and it was THE best I’ve ever had. Wonderful flavor without the artichoke overpowering it. I also ordered a margarita on the rocks. The medium size was generous and it was a perfectly concocted cocktail . I was feeling good before I got to the bottom of the glass. I ordered the steak and portobello fajitas. They came out on a sizzling skillet and almost overflowing! The portions were very generous. I brought back enough to have a couple meals in the next couple days. The staff was prompt and courteous. They took care of us well. I also had a margarita to go. I was pleasantly surprised that it was served in a lidded mason jar. I loved that! I will most definitely be back. Honestly, I was so impressed with the dip and drink, I think that’s all I want next time

When we were seated, the table was dirty. My daughter’s water had a dead spider floating in it. The food tasted good, it was just awkward and we were ready to leave.
