Will absolutely be coming back next time I’m in San Antonio! My mom is vegan (I’m not), and we’re always looking for authentic Mexican food places she can get variety at. This place was definitely what we were looking for! It’s a short walk from the Henry B. Gonzales convention center where we spent most of the weekend for TMEA, as well as the Alamo if you’re there sightseeing. We ordered the mini tacos with jackfruit barbacoa, the quesadillas with portobello fajita, papas caseras, and the elote. We both got horchata to drink and it was all incredibly delicious! Definitely a must try if you’re in the area looking for vegan food or want to try something a little different.

What a great plant based option. I had the jackfruit barbacoa and mushroom tacos. My husband had the jackfruit barbacoa quesadilla. Everything had great flavor and even my husband who doesn’t really eat plant based enjoyed it!

Plant based breakfast tacos that I could eat every single day! They are the best. I adore the La Lucha and the La Macha, but honestly, love everything I have eaten. And do not sleep on their red and green sauces. I think I actually just use the tacos as a vehicle for the sauces, haha! And gluten free options are abundant with their homemade corn tortillas.

These tacos are BOMB. Top 5 fave tacos in the city easily. So much flavor and the homemade flour and corn tortillas are 10/10. The brewchata is also super yummy! Highly recommend.

This is my partner and I’s favorite restaurant! We drive down from New Braunfels just to eat here. We tell everyone we know to come here. The staff is always super welcoming and helpful! The prices are definitely worth what you get as well. The food is fantastic! I’ve never had anything there that wasn’t great. The salsas are so good I wish I could buy it to take home with me. We’re thrilled to see so many businesses selling their tacos around San Antonio too!

Very friendly service, and a cute little shop. The food was incredibly flavorful and delicious, as a vegetarian I’ve never been able to try birria, so I was super excited! Their tacos and consume were one of the best meals I’ve had. The strawberry horchata was super yummy too, 10/10 lunch.

Awesome vegan taco options including soritos and jackfruit. I had a lovely cucumber and lemon water. Staff were lovely. Place is cute with a convenient location. I really enjoyed my meal. If in town? I’ll be back. They close at 7.

I didn’t know this place was vegan. I came bc the pictures of the tacos looked good. I’m not even vegan but the tacos were delicious, did not disappoint. Ordered breakfast tacos – La Lucha, Ranchera & Tejano. I also got pepino con limón water and it was light and refreshing.

Got the barbacoa made from jackfruit and the potato, bean, and cheese tacos on corn tortillas. They were excellent. The elote comes with a lovely helping of cilantro (flagging that for the people who think it’s soap ) and I’d def recommend it.

Tasty food with very friendly service. We got a breakfast taco every morning during our 3-day trip and dinner twice. The La Lucha en La Macha were our favorite tacos but La Charra en La Barbara are also delicious. The cheese melts so well and blends with all the delicious spices and flavours. A great savory start to the day. For dinner we had the mini tacos (pollo), Quesadillas, and the Torta. We are normally not huge fans of jackfruit, but the Torta was amazing!! Such nice flavours, not overly greasy and great acidity. The roll they use is delicious. Their guac is good too. Their horchata was too sweet for my liking but their aguas frescas were great and refreshing. Definitely give this cute vegan Mexican restaurant a visit! Also great for takeaway.
