This is a family restaurant that has been around a long time. We eat here often I’ve never had a bad experience. Prices are hard to beat. Staff is very attentive to your needs.

Ordered delivery. Gave us one small bag of chips with three dips, guac was brown all the way through, carnitas were super dry and had no flavor, ordered black beans and was given refried. I don’t know why this place has good reviews. I shouldn’t have given it a second chance.

My visit (1st time) was during the end of lunch hours, so I’m sure that’s why the atmosphere was gloomy. There was literally 1 server, and she seemed pretty friendly. Service was pretty prompt, and the food was pretty tasty. I did notice the sanitation score was 93 (not sure how recent inspection was), although there were lots of little dust bunnies hovering on the fixtures around the booths/tables.

El Dorado Mexican Restaurant in Garner is a hidden gem! The food is absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and authentic. It’s also very family-friendly, which makes it a perfect spot to bring the kids. The prices are great for the quality and portions you get. A special shoutout to Ricardo, who is an outstanding waiter — always friendly, attentive, and makes sure everything is just right. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a fantastic Mexican meal in a warm and welcoming atmosphere!

Reading the reviews previously to coming in, I found the restaurant, booths, and tables were very clean. I ordered the Arroz Con Pollo and my partner the Carne Asada taco dinner – both meals were made with good ingredients (despite the reasonable prices), were fresh, and definitely satisfying.
TIP: their free chips & salsa make dining in so much worth it.
Our waitress, Dallas, was the nicest, most considerate and thoughtful server we had had in a long time and are very appreciative for her recommendations and for the chips and salsa to-go. Thank you, Dallas!
