We had an surprise party for my Sister. It was a blast! Since it was a large party we were outside and they surrounded us with heaters (as it was chilly) and gave us plenty of time to decorate prior to my Sister’s arrival. Our waitress got us drinks and snacks while we were setting up. She was amazing! It is decorated adorably for Christmas! Thanks to Stephanie for setting things up!

We finished our shed move and the couple we dropped the shed off to suggested Union 28. What an amazing place! Bria, our waitress was super super sweet and everyone that walked by the table took care of us. Customer service was amazing! Atmosphere was amazing! What a great experience. Our atmosphere and service were exceptional. Truly. I just have some thing’s to say about the food not too be a complainer but this place has so much potential than just be good at drinks and cocktails. For starters we got the cowboy queso and it was good but the queso was so runny you were fishing for all the good stuff the whole time. And pretty sure the chips were stale. If you’re going to have runny queso have more “scoop-able” chips or just thicken your queso. I also had a BLT that didn’t come with any mayo as suggested on the menu and also it was $14 for something that could’ve been replicated at home. I got a side of sweet potato fries that were considered a premium side and they were all burnt. Two things that could be fixed easily with an upscale interesting mayo and paying more attention to the fryer. Lastly my husband got the pecker sandwich. There was hardly any hot honey. One little piece of bacon on a massive slab of chicken, just overall seemed a little lazy. Again just some easy and fixable things to really bring this place to a restaurant not just a bar. Our tab was over $100 after a 20% tip.

First, Whitney is the BEST bartender In Midlothian. If you haven’t been you need to go see her at Union 28! A true professional mixologist that understands the importance of a well crafted cocktail. Ask for a Manahattan or a Negroni….no words as how good these drinks are! The food is amazing. The empanadas are perfection, coupled with the birria sauce….perfection!

We had an amazing dinner at Union 28! From start to finish, everything was perfect.
We started with the chips and queso. The queso was the perfect blend of creamy and cheesy, and the chips were freshly made and had the best crunch.For our entrees, we had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes (we subbed asparagus for mac and cheese). The steak was crispy and cooked to perfection, the mashed potatoes tasted homemade and flavorful, and the mac and cheese was gooey and rich.
We also tried the burger with fries, and it was just as impressive. The burger was cooked to a perfect medium, juicy and flavorful, and the fries were perfectly crispy with just the right amount of seasoning.
Our waitress was extremely pleasant, friendly, attentive, and polite.
The whole night made date night so memorable! The atmosphere inside was spacious and enjoyable, and we noticed another section with lights and live music that added even more charm. We can’t wait to come back and experience more!

First time to Union 28. Had great service from our server Shelby. She said it was her first shift serving here. Shelby was very kind, attentive, and checked on our table often. Cocktail (Texas Heat) was solid and the beers were cold. Sat on the heated patio and was comfortable at the table besides the temp being in the 50s. Food was solid. Would have liked some consomé for the birria quesadilla but was filling and flavorful regardless. Would recommend stopping by Union 28 and asking for Shelby as your server. Would recommend they update their beer list (almost a month old on Untapped) and perhaps add some darker beers for the colder weather (stouts/porters).
