I’ve been going to this location in New Carlisle for many years and I’ve told myself time and time again these past few times that maybe this time the food will be like it use to be, maybe each time I’ve gone they just finished a rush or maybe I was just unlucky. However, I’ve come to the conclusion that this store is just horribly managed and the “famous” recipe is a joke to them.
Let me present to you my buckeye box meal, which is suppose to be 4 piece breast strips and a side item. I am unable to eat the chicken because it was stiff as a board and when I tore it apart to look for even a little bit of chicken under the breading, I was greeted by nothing but gristle and tendon.
Bottom line is I’ve left feedback with the stores website to inform them of this terrible food and now on here to warn all of you against trying this food. Instead I would recommend if you want some famous recipe chicken to go have some KFC, the real chicken king.

Lee’s is the best fast food chicken in Ohio. There is literally no better fast food restaurant than the Lee’s in Nee Carlisle. Period. End of story. The food is always excellent. The customer service is top notch. If my wife and I are within 20 minutes of this one, we will go every time. They will make anything on the menu fresh, every time. I’m been going here for years.

Ordered Lees Catering for my daughter’s wedding and the first negative about the online ordering/catering is they use a delivery service so about a week before the wedding we wanted to change the time to have it delivered about an hour later than we had scheduled but was told we would have to cancel the whole $1100 order to move the time so we bought warmers and left the time the same then about an hour before the food was supposed to be there we get a notification that the order was cancelled, a wedding venue full of people and told food will not be delivered had to call in the middle of my daughters wedding to get it fixed then food comes and we were missing a whole gallon side of macaroni. Instead of the individual 25 piece chicken strips we ordered they put hundreds in a huge cardboard box the chicken was so greasy and soggy from being stacked in a box. Was very disappointing to say the least. Will never order the catering from them or the olo delivery they use and a very accommodating tip was left with the order. The Lee’s in New Carlisle is my favorite Lee’s. The food is always so tasty. And the staff, especially Kerri, is so friendly and helpful. It feels like home there. I always get the 2 piece leg & thigh meal. The chicken is cooked perfectly and the biscuits are so yummy. I even asked how they get them so perfect. I’ll keep going back for my Sunday meal after church. ❣❣❣

Asked for a liver meal. I can’t even bite into it. It’s tuff. Looks like a gizzard. So upset. So I called and was able to get my order fixed. They said it was gizzards. Apologize about the mix. I came home and wasn’t eble to eat it. The taste from the gizzard left a not so great taste. But glade they fixed the mix up.

Drove 20 minutes from Troy to get chicken tender meal and livers. Got home and order incorrect dark meat meal. Ate the livers biscuit and potatoes. Tried to call and they never answer. None of the meat was eaten and I most likely paid for the more expensive meal. I can’t even check receipt as ink didn’t print what I ordered. Very disappointed and still hungry and Don like dark meat! I don’t understand why they gave me two dips I wanted for the tenders and gave me chicken. Real screw up. We’re not even busy!

I do not like the change in the food. The green beans are hard, the potato wedges have changed the coating and it is hard, the mashed potatoes and gravy, have a different gravy now not the brown gravy, but a chicken gravy and I don’t like it. Will probably stop eating here.
