A favorite among some folks, understandably so since this place has been in the neighborhood over 20 years. Brunch was filling and the bottomless mimosas kept coming, this was the perfect start to our Sunday.

Keep going. Don’t stop here. Went for Valentine’s dinner with a reservation. So, there’s no pictures. It’s the food guys. You can tell it’s a family business that cuts corners every where they can… the steak wasn’t a filet, the skin on the fish was slimy and soft – add in NO seasoning and you get the idea. When the “filet” was still raw in the center, the server came to the table – stabbed the steak with a fork and carried it back to the kitchen! I know she saw my head explode. We eat fancy food often and aren’t worried about the price, just wanted what we paid for. We didn’t get that. The rolls came straight outta the bag from Publix. Do yourself a favor and go downtown.

Very calm and lovey atmosphere! I got to sit next to the fish tank and my waitress was very kind and patient even when I got pretty much every meal boxed. The food was pretty good and I enjoyed my time here a lot. Once again love the fish tank. The crème brulee was absolutely perfect as well! You have to stop here if you happen to be in pensacola.

The menu looked amazing. I had been traveling all day and looked forward to a nice meal before heading to the hotel. My son and I shared baked brie. Delicious. The garden salad was nice, too. I opted for the seafood trio of shrimp, scallops, and fish over angel hair pasta with a vegetable medley. That there were ONLY two small scallops, two small shrimp, and a piece of fish smaller than my index finger (I’m not kidding) is bad enough. But it was completely overcooked. The good news is I don’t have to eat there again.
Biggest culinary fail of the year.

My husband and I have been coming here regularly since we were dating and we absolutely love it. The prices are reasonable, it’s never too loud, food comes out with a reasonable wait time, and we’ve never left feeling like the food was disappointing. The wait staff is also great – I feel so many of the people here are genuine instead of performative in their friendliness. We always ask to be seated in Whitney’s section when we book our table online, but we have been happy with all the wait staff when that request couldn’t be accommodated. We’re sad that we don’t live in town anymore because this is one of our favorite go-to’s.

We came back here yeaterday for lunch. Oyster Rockfeller was amazing. Bloody Mary mix that they use was so good as well. We will come back for the Sunday Brunch sometime soon.

We ate here on the way back from a trip to several southern states. We had trouble finding a good place to eat that wasn’t trendy, but still had good reviews. This place was quaint (very old) but the food was EXCEPTIONAL. By far, some of the freshest and best seafood I’ve ever eaten. My Mango Plum Salmon was exceptional. My wife’s Grouper also exceptional, fresh and flaky. You have to ignore the look of the place outside and inside (really old and rundown, especially the bathrooms), but the service was good (thank you Jaci!) and the food excellent, which is why you really go out to eat in the first place, right?

I had noticed for years a little restaurant tucked away in a corner of a small shopping center on Bayou Blvd and I finally decided to go. I’m ashamed that I waited soo long.
My bestie Christine and I were pleasantly surprised at how nice the inside is, nothing fancy but a very nice crowd. You can tell that quite a few people were regulars judging by how they were greeted by the staff. Our server was Charlie and he was an absolute doll, charming and very knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the almond crusted Mahi Mahi and Christine ordered the salmon. Before our food arrived Charlie brought out a basket of rolls that were tasty but just a little dry.
Our food was delicious! My fish was cooked perfectly as was Christine’s. The sides were very tasty, my veggies were perfect! I don’t normally have dessert but once I heard they had creme brulee I was all in. It was creamy and delicious and the crust was crunchy and absolutely delicious. Christine had an apple dessert with ice cream and it was delicious but quite filling. I tried to help her eat it but it was too much! Stop by for lunch or dinner, you will definitely enjoy your meal!

Using Google and Yelp only, we found O’Brien’s Bistro, made a reservation, and went for dinner after church on Saturday evening.
It was a reasonably long wait from being seated to being approached by a server. Eventually, we ordered drinks, and upon delivery, our server said she would be back to pick up our appetizer order, but it might be a little while. It was. We ordered an appetizer (Brie) and waited another while before receiving it. We then ordered dinner entrees (Stuffed Grouper & Chicken Piccata). By the time we got our salads, we had been seated for nearly 1 hour. We discussed packing it in and paying for what we had received, but did not—a mistake. During this time, every table in our section had been seated, served, and left.
Each table in our section was greeted by its server with the Specials for Saturday. We were never told about any Specials. Every table received a basket of rolls. Not us. I got up to stroll around a bit because I had been sitting so long, and a man, whom I inferred was in management, asked me how my evening was going. I said, “Not great.” He asked if I was waiting on anything, and I responded, “Our food.” Our food arrived a little while later, and it wasn’t great. Look up any Chicken Piccata recipe. What my wife was served wasn’t that. Of course, it is one of her favorite dishes, and she orders it everywhere. A Chicken breast, pan-fried in a skillet. Not breaded or pounded —just a dry chicken breast, browned on both sides. I smelled my Grouper coming before it was set down right under my nose. Let’s say it was loud. We picked at both, asked for the check, and left.
Nobody ever took notice of us, even though every other table turned while we sat, and two tables turned twice! No effort was made for any Service Recovery or apology. I mentioned church earlier because that is the only reason I maintained any decorum. The recency of being at church
It was an expensive (both in time and money) and brutal evening.

Visiting from Wisconsin and was treated to dinner at O’Brien’s Bistro. I had the double bone porck chop. While the pork chop was a bit dry, the flavor was excellent. The side dishes Of cooked apples, steamed vegetables, and mashed sweet potatoes were delicious. I look forward to going back in the future and trying other menu items.
