Homey diner fare, including breakfasts, sandwiches & fried chicken, served in a comfy setting.

Was pretty disappointing experience. I came here with my parents, who love the place and come here frequently. we were seated as soon as we arrived and drinks order taken, then again 5 minutes later they took our drink order again.
After our drinks arrived, we waited to have our orders taken…and waited….and waited. After we noticed people who had arrived after us started getting their food, we had to flag the waiter down.
Service took so long, by the time our food got to us it was cold. My beans didn’t even seem liked they had been warmed up. It felt like we were being intentionally ignored. Even my parents said they had never had service this bad in all the years they have coming.
One of the things I ordered was a side of fruit. Most was unripe, although the watermelon was great. Portion size was extremely small for the $8 price tag (after tax that comes to about 1.25 per piece of fruit).

Omelette you in on a little secret—this diner is awesome! We came here for breakfast and it did not disappoint. The all meat omelette was packed with the works and absolutely delicious. The hash browns were golden and crispy, and the service was top-notch—fast, friendly, and welcoming. Oh, and did I mention the mimosas? Perfect start to the day. Can’t wait to come back

Went here for brunch on a road trip – the cute pictures on
Seems like a popular local spot ie not a tourist trap .
The freshly made cinnabuns are amazing, spent an extra 40mins waiting for a fresh batch to take away – barely got a picture before they were gone
They have a fridge with beers, not sure when they serve them ♀️

We were looking for some tasty breakfast at lunchtime and we found this place on Google with really high reviews so we decided to give it a try. They are only open for breakfast and lunch, close at 2, fyi.
When we walked in it gave off the old school diner vibe which we like! We were greeted right away and let them know we wanted take out. We sat at the bar and chatted with them while deciding what to order. Such friendly and accommodating staff! We are staying in a hotel so they made sure to provide us with all of the condiments and things we needed to take our meal back.
I ordered the Monte Cristo and it was divine! It was our favorite out of everything because it was packed with flavor and they were these cute little mini sandwich bites we could all share. My parents got the eggs and hash browns and really enjoyed a nice, simple home cooked meal. My daughter got the grilled cheese and fries and she thought the cheese was a bit too much, but otherwise she really enjoyed it.
They also had pies in a pie display and these awesome looking cinnamon rolls. We visit the desert often and will be adding this place to our regular rotation! Family friendly, lots of food options at an affordable price and free parking! We will take it! Check it out next time you are in Palm Desert!

We were greeted immediately when walking in the door with a friendly hello. After the friendly greeting we were seated right away. My family ordered several meals with the nice server. I ordered the chicken fried steak with brown gravy. It came promptly with the other meals. The outside was crispy and the steak was tender on the inside. The perfectly seasoned brown gravy matched well with the steak. Overall very tasty. The waiter put in the order wrong, and served me hash browns instead of the home fries that I ordered. I mentioned it to him and said it was ok but he quickly came back with a side of home fries. Great service! The eggs were cooked perfectly as I ordered. Great diner, all the other meals tasted great also. Ready choice to make if you are hungry.

This is a tough town to find decent food, but the breakfast at CJ’s was way below expectations. $20 buys you a wet, undercooked mushroom and cheddar omelet that has way too many canned mushrooms. The country potatoes were hard and not cooked. The scrambled eggs and hash browns we just as bad. Sorry for the bad review, but I hate leaving food behind because I can’t eat it.

I would say this is a hidden gem, however, we found it using our Google peer reviews. I can’t speak to their non breakfast offerings, which do look great, as we were there for breakfast. Traditional eggs Benedict and Banana Pecan pancakes with poached eggs and bacon. Excellent food for great value. I recommend sitting on the patio. One can barely make out the street as the small trees give it privacy. The hummingbirds are quite entertaining as are the other birds tweeting away. Quite lovely. They have a wheelchair ramp a short distance away with a good grade.

The cinnamon roll might be the best in the valley, we loved it! Antonio was our super attentive and friendly waiter, who recommended we try the huevos rancheros, a fantastic selection and Mom had the sausage, eggs and hash browns. Highly recommend this local spot for breakfast!

Nice mom and pop style diner, stopped on our weekend trip. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was your typical American breakfast, but had good flavor. The lox bagel ingredients were fresh and the smoked salmon tasted great. The parking on the lot seemed limited, but street parking was available as well.

Cozy breakfast place. We had an omelet and waffle. Both meals were good but the waffle was a little small for $8.75. Overall, the prices were good though. Our server was friendly and so were the people who sat around us. Good mix of locals and out of towners. I’d come back next time I’m in town.
