We went to Coalition in Edina for brunch with a group of friends, and it was such a great experience. The interior is gorgeous clean, modern, and thoughtfully put together, with a warm aesthetic that makes the space feel both stylish and comfortable.
Our group all ordered different dishes, and everything was delicious. Each plate had great flavor. It’s rare for everyone at the table to love their meal, but Coalition definitely delivered.
The drinks were another highlight really well-crafted cocktails with balanced flavors and a fun twist on the classics.
Overall, a fantastic brunch spot. Great food, amazing drinks, and a beautiful atmosphere

We had the classic Coalition burger. Very good. Cooked as ordered. Good bun. Perhaps a bit more cheese. The issue is the type of lettuce and the placement. First, put the lettuce under the burger. Replace butter lettuce with classic iceberg. Butter lettuce wasn’t staying in place and everything to slide off. OUTSTANDING tatar tots!! Great, friendly, timely, engaging service. Vibe is much better than Excelsior. Good wine by glass choices.

My girlfriend and I went there because we were going to see a movie at the Edina Mann. The employees were great we were greeted right away and sat immediately. The food was fantastic especially the Fried Goat Cheese. Why is it a one star review? There is an upcharge of $3.50 for ordering a whiskey “neat”. I didn’t see that anywhere on the menu. Is there a similar upcharge for getting it “on the rocks”? How about a cocktail? It’s too bad was a really cool spot but wouldn’t go back for paying an extra $3.50 to have the bartender just pour whiskey in the glass and give it to me. ♂️

This is a great spot for dinner. I arrived early (4:30 pm) and caught the end of happy hour. The bar had a nice crowd of friendly people. I enjoyed the buffalo shrimp app – nice-sized shrimp perfectly prepared. Afterward, I enjoyed a great meal with my wife as we moved from the bar to the restaurant. I got the seabass, which was very yummy, and my wife got the beef Yum Yum, which she enjoyed. I highly recommend this spot when in the area.

Our experience was fantastic at Coalition – been there many times. From the moment we were greeted at the door till the end, the experience was amazing. Great food and drinks – the menu had been updated which I was super excited about. I ordered the Bourdain sandwich (I mean he’s the GOAT) which was delicious and my fiance ordered the steak sandwich. We also shared the burrata and jam (omg loveeeee). Our waitress Tracie, was the best! She was super friendly and so attentive. Def going again.

We love this place! Very friendly neighborhood joint, with a relaxed, welcoming vibe. We enjoyed their lovely (dog friendly!) patio many times this summer. We can stop by the bar on any given night and expect fun cocktails, great food, and a row of smiling faces, both seated at the bar, and working behind it. It’s like our own little “Cheers!” Keep up the great work, Kevin & staff. We will definitely be back!

Coalition is really on top of their game right now. After 10 years in business, they’ve revitalized their concept while staying true to what makes them special (contemporary American, casual fine dining, with surprisingly large portions, and a chill atmosphere). If you haven’t been in a while (or perhaps you’ve never been), you owe it to yourself to see what they’re doing over there right now. The cowboy ribeye is a monster. 14 oz and boneless. Not the kind of thing you see every day, especially now. The roast chicken dinner is beautiful. The burrata panzanella, cartoonishly large pork schnitzel, grilled seafood risotto– all super satisfying. And a lot of their chef specials are more daring than one might expect.
tldr; you should really check out Coalition. They haven’t rested on their laurels, even after 10 years of great success.

My daughter and I had a nice experience here in Edina. We enjoyed the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer and we both had lunch salads. Everythingwas delicious. Service was great. Fun venue.

Pulled a real scammy move for restaurant week. Advertised having a restaurant week lunch menu but we showed up on Saturday and was told the lunch menu only was Monday-Friday. If you are worried about losing money, then maybe don’t have a lunch menu instead of trying to lure people in with one that doesn’t actually exist. We did get to try a couple drinks (mimosa and one of the mocktails) and they were very average.

Was hoping for (at least) a slightly better experience than we had at the Edina location. We came in on Valentine’s Day evening and sat at the bar. It was immediately clear that nobody was in any rush to serve us and we assumed this was related to drink orders coming in from servers. But the fact that things slowed down did not alleviate things and I started to wish we had gone somewhere else. Our dinners definitely took longer than expected and when delivered, it was obvious they’d been sitting under a heat lamp for several minutes since everything was barely above room temperature. Not too impressed for entrees priced @ $40 and $50 respectively. The vibe seemed like a place we’d want to spend time in, but the service was so lacking, we won’t be back.
