Best smoked brisket of my life! Fantastic Ipa selection. 2 bathrooms so cool. 1 is Marvel comics decorated the other DC comics. The staff from the person who seats you to the waitress waiter Mike was everything with a smile and even the food deliverers so friendly and efficient. Incredible place in every way. It’s worth it just for the brisket even. Highly recommend

This place was AWFUL. We came in around 6:00pm on a Saturday, we didn’t get our food until almost 7:15. We got the Brussels sprouts, which were boring but fine, and the sweet potato bowl and the potatoes, which were both barely edible- plain potatoes and rice with a little toppings. No salt, no flavor, and expensive! They also had run out of multiple things already. Beer was ok, cocktails were better. Do not come here!

We stopped in here the other weekend for the first time. The parking lot is pretty small but there is a fair amount of street parking no too far away. With that being said, the outside seating area looked very nice with a few heaters outside to help with the chill in the air. The food and drinks were delicious. I started with a flight our beer before deciding on a sweater weather. We ordered the brisket sandwich and meat ball mac and cheese. The service was great. Mike was our main server but everyone there worked together as a team. Definitely stop in if your in the area.

Such a great experience, I’m upset I haven’t been here sooner. The staff was amazing, those smoked chicken wings were out of this world. I had the brisket sandwich and my husband had the pastrami sandwich, both I would highly recommend. When we go back I will have a hard time trying something new because what I e already had was just so amazing. Did I mention the sauces??!!?? All sauces are house made and absolutely to die for! That fry sauce there beers were good as well. Thank you for making such great food. We will be back!

This place is awesome. We came for a quick drink and food. Service was incredibly fast and our bartender Janine was outstanding. In and out in 30 minutes. Food came out extremely fast and was delicious.

Food is always good and often unique. The French dip was astounding. It’s the little things. The type of bread in the roll, the perfect toasting, the horseradish sauce rather than just horseradish. And the beer is excellent.

We came to The Ways for the first time recently and had a pleasant experience. The service was great, the beers were all delicious, and the food was also good. Only taking off one star because my burger was pretty underdone (I had asked for medium, but the patty came out very rare in the middle) and they were out of the chicken sandwich, which my husband really wanted to try. Luckily I am not squeamish about eating rare beef, so it wasn’t too much of an issue. Otherwise, everything tasted good and we would definitely like to come back to give it another try. Also, we loved the $20 house flight, which gave us the opportunity to try every beer. Overall, we look forward to returning!

3 stars is generous but since they’ve only been open a week and we visited on a Friday night when they didn’t know how many people would come I’m giving them the benefit of doubt. The good: this area needed a place like this – an independent brew pub; they actually brew on site; the menu is straightforward – they’re not trying to be more than a brew pub. But, the bad: acoustics – it’s atrocious – you can’t hear people next to you without screaming. The bathrooms – a single-person bathroom for each gender is not sufficient for the number of seats and drinking beer! The service – an hour from order to food – for their sake I hope that’s first week issues that need to be figured out fast. The portions are a bit small. Order of wings is only 6, but nice smoke flavor. Medium-rare burgers had no pink – brown throughout. They were out of our first 2 beer choices at 7:30 pm. Brisket could have had more flavor. I’ll give them some time and then see if they were able to fix things…

This is a gem here in the suburbs, food is always fresh and delicious and the rotating beer menu is great. Sad to see their 5th Anniversary brew gone. Drink prices are reasonable, especially for sourcing so much of the bar locally. The pork taco fried rice, loaded nachos, and smoked hot wings are all 10/10 items on the menu. I have also tried their meatball sliders, watermelon salad, and cornflake chicken which were also tasty, but did not knock my socks off in the way the pork taco fried rice does. The homemade dipping sauces are great, too. Serving sizes are pretty generous.
The vibe is very relaxed and eclectic, lots of warm carved wooden fixtures, some plants, little figurines in the bar shelves, and the restrooms have framed comic book collages. The outdoor seating is comfortable and offers a fun view of the SEPTA bridge. The staff are friendly and attentive. There are regular nights for trivia and music, if that is your sort of thing. The Ways is really a special spot and I am glad to have them here in the neighborhood!

Visited on a warm night in November. This spot is tucked in next to the train tracks, but they have certainly made the most of the location! Plantings & warm lighting distract the eye, even heat lamps to keep it cozy! Indoors is also warm & cozy. They were busy, but the volume level was still low, so still great for conversation.
Staff is friendly & attentive.
We had the sweet potato tacos & French dip. Both were excellent. We also had their Cosmo & a beer selection. Both filled to the rim & delish!
Highly recommend.
