The floor was very dirty and sticky … you could hear your shoes sticking as you walked. The chairs were filthy as well. They were out of one type of egg roll and kept saying the owner, Brian, would be coming soon. For $5.50 each the egg rolls were very small.
The cook said he was the only one working in the kitchen and was trying his best, but we were the only two customers there. It still took 35 minutes to get two egg rolls and an 8-piece chicken special, and one of the egg rolls was wrong.
The chicken could have been cooked a little longer, but it was good. The fries were mostly broken pieces, like small corner edges. The young lady at the register was nice and gave me a free pop.

Small black owned restaurant with amazing food. The moment I walk in, I’m always greeted by friendly staff, and awesome smells from the kitchen. The prices are very reasonable. From the Big City Cheesesteaks, to the buffalo chicken egg rolls are all exploding with flavor. Call in ahead, highly recommended if you’re in a hurry. Food cooked to order, and worth the wait.

I visited this place for the first time to order food, but a few things made me hesitant. The entrance floor was sticky, and the tables and chairs looked dirty. The display case for pies and cakes was also dirty, which made me wonder about the cleanliness of the kitchen. I heard about the $2 egg rolls, so I decided to try them regardless. I ordered steak and chicken, but the egg rolls were just okay — nothing special. What surprised me was how many people were lining up, which was impressive. I wanted to order more, but concerns about the cleanliness of the kitchen made me think twice. I’m uncertain if I’ll return, as I feel disappointed by the hype surrounding this place. I just didn’t want to take pictures of the floor and other dirty spots

I ordered the steak Fry’s I get my order and it’s literally just steak and cheese!! No other condiments that were stated on the menu I called and asked and they basically made it sound like they were doing me a favor and that they stopped cooking at 8:45 but that still doesn’t mean not to make my food right if you’re not going to make my food right then you should have told me from the beginning and I would have taken my money somewhere else!!!0 literal excuse was well if we stopped cooking after 8:45 and start putting stuff away what restaurant tells people that!!! But I won’t be coming back unfortunately and I was so excited to try this place!

I enjoy eating at this family owned black establishment. I don’t get out here to often. But when I do I always stop in for the egg rolls…my favorite is the gyro…although I like the steak, Buffalo chicken & jerk chicken. The fried chicken is a must…it’s always fresh, hot, & seasoned to perfection. The owner, Brian is so sweet/kind. He’s always making sure his customers are very well taking care of. The manager Chennel is also a sweet gem. She’s very welcoming & polite to the customers. Thank you BigCity…keep up the good work.

Actually, this is the second time that I have come to this restaurant this time I ordered online, which was easy to do. I love that the food was hot and the customer service people are so friendly and nice even though it was very busy today. Only thing I didn’t care for was my catfish having sauce on I never ate it like that before, but I ended up eating it anyway it was reasonably priced. I love the eggrolls the best keep up the good work And I give them a two thumbs up.

After spending 50 dollars on 2 creo balls, 2 cheesesteaks, and fries, I can honestly say I feel robbed. The cheesesteak that was supposed to be $17 For A king size ( pictured) is not only dry, but also missing a lot of meat that I thought we had paid for. It would not be so bad if the taste was not also so bland. I also got a small regular size cheesesteak, and it was also very skimpy on the meat and very dry and very bland.
The fries are a total disappointment. Not only are the texturely weird, but they have no flavor they don’t even taste like a fry. There’s no salt or any seasoning on them.
The creole balls, now that made me mad, i got one meat and one chicken to try them for the first time, after paying 17 dollars for 2 balls, the meat one has absolutely no flavor completely bland, just like eating a flavorless rice mush, and the chicken one buffalo I think it’s called, It’s salty, with no other flavors, just a salty rice mush ball… I understand what they’re trying to do here. But their execution is nowhere near where it needs to be, which is sad. For the cost you’re charging, they should spend a little more time in giving quality products to its customers, especially when you’re taking more than 40 minutes to dispatch 1 order.

Hubby saw Big City Cheesesteak on the Black Foodies and wanted to try them. Cheesesteak was decent. Chicken, steak & buffalo egg rolls were subpar. Ordered wings with mild sauce. Received wings plain. I do like that your food is made fresh to order.
